Its a round ball which he has to play with and roll around to get the treats to come out. He seems a little obsessed with it. He Is trying with all he has to get the liver treats to come out. He is drooling everywhere and I can hear him breathing with his whole mouth covering the ball. The advertisement on the side says its to keep your dog from being bored. Is this a good toy, or should I not torment him this way.

Good lord, now he is rolling this stupid toy all over the wreck room here and drooling and panting. He has done lost his sense. He is totally focused on that ball.

Now he has brought the ball and dropped it in my lap soaking wet with drool. He wants me to get the treats out for him. He is sitting here looking at me. Sometimes I think he is almost human.

The treats are falling out, but he is hoping I will get them out. He is a hog! He finally laid down on the floor with the ball about 5 inches from his nose. I think it is better than chewing up my shoes or wiring to the back of the computer which would be my nightmare.

Lol
Is this the hard plastic ball with the slots to insert the treats???
Mine figured that sucker out in about 30 seconds, and she can get the treats out a lot faster than you can put them in.

This is a great toy for your dog. You are not tormenting him, you are actually giving him something to do. As the advertisement says, it keeps your dog from being bored. Dogs need to be challenged like people. As he gets tired of getting the liver treats, mix them with some peanut butter and put them in the ball. Use you imagination and you can come up with different things to put in the ball. Hope this helps♥♥

Is it the orange one?
I can't get my dog interested in the one I got him! And I got a treat stuck in there the other day.
Anyway, it's probably okay. You should probably limit his time with it so he doesn't get too insane though. Do other things to keep him active. And when you can't watch him, it's probably good he has the ball, so he's not chewing up a shoe or something. I'd say just to let him play with it. When you think it's gotten out of hand, take it away from him for awhile. You may also want to try a kong, dogs can get treats out of these easier.

It is a great toy for dogs!! My dog tore the ball up in 5 minutes flat and what a mess let me tell you. I serious word of caution to you regarding this toy, as a previous person said they can be torn apart, and if you dog is treat motivated which he sounds like he is be careful that he doesn't eat the toy, a foreign body is a very expensive thing to remove. I have found the KONG to be the safest non- destructible toy on the market. Good Luck!!!

If he's unable to get the treats out after that much work, then the toy was not made right. They are supposed to challenge him, not frustrate him.
I got a Kong Toy and it has slots and you put the treats inside. Some Kongs you can put peanut butter in the ridges or inside the holes and they can lick it out. It takes quite a while, but they DO get some success.
If you put the treats inside, maybe you got treats slightly too big for him to get out.
Kong has a variety of shapes, and they even sell pastes (like liver paste) that you can put in their toys or the crevaces of their toys to entertain the dog.

that is exactly the same thing my lab does with them. I use a kong, but have seen balls as well. It keeps him occupied for hours, he is a lab so never looses interest in trying to get the dog treat out. He makes huge drool puddles when playing with it.

Hi! :) The more toys the better! A frisbee would be good I would also get some toys like a Kong. Rope toys are a good idea too. What toys do you already have? Does your dog chew up the stuffed animals for dogs (with no stuffing for tougher chewers) too?

This is the best toy. Especially if you crate your dog and you have to leave for awhile. My lab goes crazy for this toy. If she finds the toy she'll pick it up and bring it to me and keep dropping it at my feet until I put a treat in it. It's so funny. My lab is 18 mos. old and trust me, she's not being tormented at all.

I work in an animal shelter and we use them all the time to keep the dogs busy. They are good and Kongs are similar you fill them and they work at getting the treats out. Usually takes a long time.

I suppose you got him a Kong toy. They are great and keep Labs from chewing up your house.
You really need to walk Labs a lot because they are very active dogs.
