My uncle died when he was just an infant. I obviously felt he was not in heaven, and was possibly on the charcoals in hell since nobody had sprinkled water on him.

However, it now official!!!! Heaven it is! He is heaven bound due to the ruling of Pope Benedict.

This seems like a very sound and legit ruling, and not an attempt to get more people to donate money to the Vatican or anything silly like that.

Beg to differ, Servant. It says right in the Bible "Whatever you hold true on earth, I'll hold true in heaven" God gave us some control over our own eternal souls

I think you may be a little confused.

The Church has pondered the suggestion of Limbo for a few hundred years and has decided that it is not a good idea. Limbo was never official doctrine.

Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. He who believes and is baptized will be saved." (Mark 16:15-16)

For centuries, people have wondered about children who died before they were baptized. The Bible does not explicitly state that they will go to heaven.

Limbo was suggested as the place where unbaptized babies went when they died. This idea was never official Church doctrine and has been rejected.

The Church now says that it is not sure what happens to unbaptized babies when they die but she entrusts them to the mercy of God.

With love in Christ.

Obviously? How is it obvious, because some false prophet says it? I think it's preposterous form the Vatican to "decide" whether something does or doesn't exist... not only do they have no right, their decisions are laughable and meaningless... there maust be a special circle of hell just for them. I can't even imagine them being serious while discussing that and ",aking decisions" - as if they can make any such decision, pompous thugs.

your joking right - the pope has no power to send anyone to Heaven or "limbo" or whatever made up places he wants to create
your uncle went rigth to Heaven as soon as he died no matter what the pope might have said - that decision is up to God
