I believe in God because I choose to believe in God! I want to believe in God. I feel better believing in God! My life has meaning because I believe in God! I have a friend in Jesus because he is always here with me. I can tell him all of my troubles and he never turns me away! Praying helps me find the answers to my problems!

I've been meaning to study this behavior in humans as well. I call it the "Messiah Complex." The belief that some all-powerful (or even something greater in power) will come to one's aid and bring justice. The idea of injustice in the world is not easily acceptable. So, that might explain the whole Afterlife, Heaven and Hell and Messiah or Savior theme that is similar in the Western religions.
Moreover, people generally lack the mental capability to understand that there might not be a cause to our existence. And by the lack of mental capability, I don't mean to call them stupid, but handicapped by their fine-tuned reason which has adapted to give reason to the existence of things we come in contact with because of evolution. For example, from an evolutionary point of view, it is in the best interest of a feeble creature, which is alone in a dark forest or something, to assume that there is a cause behind a noise that it may here that may be dangerous to its own survival. It keeps them on their toes.
Many interesting ways to ponder about the evolutionary advantages of such beliefs. But once we are out of that dark forest and don't need such beliefs, we shouldn't hesitate to drop them and move on. That's something we've yet to learn.

God is the creator of all things....How could you not believe in him? Look at his beauty! God had done miracles in my life. My son had a hole in his throat and God healed him. I believe that! The doctors and medical science do not understand how my son was healed. I know it was the mighty hand of God that healed my son. The doctor's went in and found the hole and told me that they needed to repare it. The next day when they went back the HOLE! WAS GONE! The doctor did not understand how that could be but through our Prayers! God Answered and healed him. I believe this with out a doubt!

Well, sometimes I doubt his existence, but when I think about OUR existence, I just feel that the human body and the patterns of the world/universe are just too well-created to have been created spontaneously. Like how our bodies can heal themselves (in terms of wounds and fractures, not disease) and how the earth provides us with the basic neccesities to survive (food, water). I just believe that some things are too specific to have been randomly made. And even though none of that explains how God was created, well, I just think no one really knows for sure how the world began.

ok. may be u dont call him god..., let's call it my imaginary friend G
when i was young, i alwasy talked to G, especially when i m not satisfied with something... G is always there to answer me... sometimes G scold me, some times he ask me to be patient. sometime he simply say..."there is a reason.... not now... you will know..."
G never left me.. though as i grew older, i talked to G less...
in nov 2005, when the "cancer" bracelets was in fashion....
G told me... wear something RED and GREEN all the time...
i was like huh? everyday? what should i wear? the bracelets? no cant wear that to work every day... finally i decided to get one green and one red crystal bead...
i asked G.. why red and green? unity for muslims (green) and christians (red)? G answered.."Not that complicated. Just a reminder that I hv the power (red) over life (green), give or take life. One day you will understand..." since that day, i hv been wearing the red+green bead every day... it reminds me of god's presence... but after a while it becomes routine...
one Apr06 morning, driving my fren to the airport... my car lose control at the turn off from the highway... the car spinning 360deg... still not praying.. justing hoping the car to bang the guard rail and stop before any cars coming and bang into my out of control car... finally after 3 turns.. the car hit the guard rail at the side... all the while.. no on coming traffic!!! finally the highway patrol came and place safety cones to warn on-coming traffic at the turn off... when all cones are placed... streams of cars came!!! coincidence?
not for me.. i remember what G told me.. "one day you will understand"...
that is why my believe in G is ever stronger....

They were forced by their upbringing and had no choice. Its like a prisoner getting free after 30 years in the joint. You think they change. Not much except now they like prison and will do what it takes to go back. Such as the dilemma of the believer of lies.

I had been looking for that certain something for a long time...In 1989, God found me, and helped me out, while I was praying to him for the first time...I didn't even know how to really pray, but he answered my many prayers to him, and he let my first granddaughter live...Today I am a Christian, and have never wondered once, why I made this decision....God is truly wonderful...God Bless You.

I need to believe in something to be able to get a grip on the "whole big picture" Science is to confusing to me and it doesn't really seem anymore concrete then God. I have to have Faith, in something, I think I'd go crazy if I couldn't let myself just trust and believe in him.

I suggest you become a Pastafarian and jump on the Flying Spaghetti Monster bandwagon, or maybe join the religion of the Jedi?
