because of the packaging it makes it kind of hard...you can either guestimate by eye (frontline is safe up to 10x the dosage rate). Have you tried advantage or advantix? the vial that it comes in makes it easy to insert a needle and syring into the lid without opening it and split your dosages. Honestly, Frontline is way too expensive to be getting the wrong dosage...also try using a soap free shampoo (vets carry them). The soap in most otc shampoos contain soap that will cause the frontline to become pullled off the pet (although most is absorbed into the skin by the sebacious glands) you will lose some effectiveness.

Frontline is designed to work by the dose that is in the package that you put on the dog. Using less than that reduces it's effectiveness and the period in which it works. www.drsfostersmith.com is a great place where you can get it cheaper than your local vet.

I would say go to a Farmers Supply and tell them you want a dog dip. It about the same if you not dilute and apply what front-line give, last the life of the dog and a few more for what 2-3 applications of front-line cost., But, people would rather never learn and buy the rip-off that the same stuff. This my opinion and thumbs down or not our dogs live 15-20 years and Sampson our Pekingese is turning 21 this year. ;-)
You ask and you got my opinion and there are many, the thumbs down will tell those that know nothing, all they know to do to justify their opinion. I respect others, just I know what work for me. Ask a REAL VET!!!! IF, he good, he tell the truth, if, he crap, he get all the money he can before "word of mouth" close him down!!! You can look at the ingredients, but, that require reading.

Price the Frontline in a spraybottle. My vet had it and it was cheaper than the regular frontline.

I don't know how much you pay for it, but I have to buy the large breed size and it's $35 for one monthly dose. But it is well worth the expense. Check out the prices on line...sometimes they are cheeper.

I've split larger doses between my dogs during the same application, but I'm not sure that it holds up that long after it's opened. You can try it to see if it works. Just be careful not to overdose him.
