I don't know if I agree that Katrina was an act of God. VA TECH was an act of a extremely angry and selfish person.

Does a storm have a persponality? or the abilty to make choices?

The phrase "act of God" when used in connection with Katrina or similar events does not mean it is something that God did. It means it was an action that was beyond the ability of any human to cause or control. There is nothing (yet) that humans can do to cause or control a hurricane. The VA Tech shooting is a different issue. It WAS directly caused by a human. So it would not be considered an "act of God".

A disaster is not officially an act of God until Pat Robertson declares it an act of God.

We're still patiently waiting for his ruling on VA Tech.

Va Tech was the act of a demented human being. God allowed it because we live in a sinful world where man chose sin. Cho the shooter, made choices, until he decided to end his lives and the live of others. for encouragement, listen to ttb.org.

I don't think a hurricane is actually an act of God. It's just something to say when we can't blame an act on a maniacal sentient being, such as in the VT Tech case.

Tech could have been stopped, he showed the signs, he was mentally unstable and should not have been able to purchase guns, however the LAW did not stop him because he checked himself in, why was he not kicked out for his behaviour with other women on campus. But people choose to ignore them. How do you stop a hurricane.

Both a complete waste of life either way you look at it.

Because the VA Tech massacre was the work of the Devil! You cannot compare natural causes to humans kill each other.

in case you imagine like a pantheist and evaluate Nature to be synonymous with "God" then definite, because it replaced into an act of Nature. She receives blamed for each and each of the undesirable stuff, receives credit for each and each of the sturdy stuff, and the actuality is, Nature in basic terms IS, and, as a non-sentient element, Nature would not care one way or the different. Sounds chilly, even if it truly is organic and straightforward as water.
