Sorry Daniel, that's what it's like on here at times..
offence is all around, try not to let it bother you, there are some Christians who are genuine and are here to help, but we all have our own opinions. I don't know what the girl said to you, but I'm sorry your feelings were hurt..maybe you will see there are a lot who care here, hope it gets better for you...xx

I agree with you in the regard that everyone has their own beliefs and their own right to believe what they want to believe. That is purely up to them on that one. I personally have never agreed with ramming my beliefs down a person's throat (but then I know how much damageI can do to their faith so I try my best to avoid it).

Chances are its' more because these people believe that their faith is the "true" faith for them and partly they want the whole world to know, partly they're very opinionated. The problem is that people forget that it is just faith, and everyone is ultimately different. I'm not going to judge the person you speak of, that's not my place.

Trying to find the right line between fanatical preaching and just discussing your faith can be a tough one though I've found with christians. One of my friends is a catholic who's had the same problem, he was ok about it at first and then after I started to chat to him about his faith he got very aggressive about it and started trying to ram it down our throats, e.t.c. We stopped it in the end when I had a word with him about his behaviour though.

People have got to remember with all of this they have their faith, and that's just it, faith. Its' not right or wrong, black or white. Its' a belief system and a moral compass, no more than that. Its' fine to openly talk about your own faith to a certain degree and even to deny people who would attempt to criticise your own faith. But all the same you have to be really careful how you do it, otherwise it can be too much.

Hope that helps.

Because everybody sins, even Christians. I wish all people could at least find a way to be civil here, but no, there's always rude, ignorant people out there who hate becase they know how and disregard the consequences. For example, did reading the overly-harsh, judgmental comments written by Christians make you think hm, maybe this is for me? No! There's a place for disagreeing, sure, but ranting? No. (haha, look at the judgmental girl ranting about ranting!)

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said "so-called" Christian. Some people on here are fake, pretending to be what they are not to give Christians or whoever else a bad name. I looked at the person who you refered & her bad language showed what she is really like. People like that are not worth a second thought.

PS, Ive had quite a few suprises in this section too

How is church shoving religion down throats? I really do not understand this. Do you not believe in the right to express our faith? Or are our lips to be sealed and we only able to talk about it in the private house? Do you extend this same provision to everything? Free speech, but only in your own house. Freedom of the press, meaning you can write whatever you want, so long as you do not try to convince others to join your cause?

Good question. I can't help you with this one. That is why I quit going to church, because people cutting you down for the same thing they are doing but the bible as I know it don't say you have to go to church to go to heaven.

They just can't believe that they just might not be right so they keep trying to prove that they are. Diversity is what this world is about. I just wish that they could accept that others have other views than they do and it is our problem if we don't accept their views as our own.

I know the person you are referring to. She has a tendency to come up with questions that are- tactless, shall we say? I don't know which one specifically you are referring to. But she has asked some that were offensive to me, and I am a Christian. I think she must be very immature in her faith. Hopefully she will grow. Please be tolerant of her, and on behalf of Christians, I apologize.
