According to the definition of St. Paul, Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Heb. 11:1 That is, a trust in the unseen, as though it were seen, in that which is hoped and waited for, as if it were present.

Cheers :-)

Reasonable Faith means to have a certainty about something that one cannot prove AS certainty but does have the benefit of having circumstantial evidence that it is true. It's also known as 'being confident', 'or having self-confidence'. Examples: to have faith that the sun will come up tomorrow, or to have faith in oneself.

Unreasonable Faith is to have certainty about something that one cannot prove and does not have the benefit of having evidence or something ones believes in spite of any evidence to the contrary. It's also called 'irrational thinking', 'delusional thinking', or even 'wishful thinking'. Examples: That there was a man named Jesus who was the one and only son of God. That anyone can come back from being dead for 3 days. That there is an afterlife that involves Heaven or Hell. That reincarnation is real.

Faith is a way to keep, a way of thinking in action until you recieve evidence of the faith being kept. The bad news is you can fool yourself into anything. If I believe and talk about developing cancer long enough, I will indeed develope cancer.(Research Hypocondriac) Your body believes every word you say and will accomidate your attitude and emotions weather you perceive them as pleasent or unpleasent. So keep and open mind and know the things you wish with your own authority.

Faith is about making claims without the evidence to back them up, because the emotional reasons for supporting the claim take precedence over whether or not it is true.

The strongest case of this is modern religion.

The bible does define it in Hebrews 11:1

"It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see."

So true faith, according to God, is when a person live their life as if His promises already are here.

Faith is a belief in things which cannot be seen, but are true. But not only belief--faith is a principle of action. When we pray for something, we must then go out and try to get it accomplished--then God will work his miracles and help things fall into place for us. Faith involves belief, mental exertion, and physical action.
