when you are in a commited, can a sexless relationship relationship work?
why and why not?

Most of the time if a relationship is sexless its because one not both isn't into sex for whatever reason. Sex is a important part of a relationship it completes a bond. A sexless marriage doesn't work and will eventually end in divorce.
When one person in a relationship does not want sex they think there partner should just accept it and deal with it anyway they want. Unfortunately it rarely works that way and one partner if married will either cheat or seek a divorce.
The one feeling sexless should be trying everything in there power to find out what the problem is instead of thinking it's unimportant.....

I was in a sexless relationship for 3 years before we tied the knot. It made it easier. We both had to be on the same page though. We would make out, but until we first had sex, that was to the point where we stopped it. That was it.
I know he didn't just use me.

Yes, a sexless relationship can work as long as maybe you aren't married. If I was married sex would be a must, at least once a night for me. I couldn't imagine people staying together in marriage without sex.

Yes. There are even social groups that live and practice sexless relations, before and after marriage.

I remember my sexless relationships. They were great. I don't think it would work in a marriage. I've heard of them, but those marriages have other troubles.

Yes sexless can work fine until you make the marraige commitment. It can even work then if there is enough love and trust.

I think it can if both people are willing to wait. Sexless forever, even after marraige, I couldn't handle that. ;o)

Sure, it happens all the time. Sometimes a couple can't have sex because of physical reasons, but the relationship survives for other reasons.
But if the couple is young and sexually active, then the lack of sex can be a very serious problem.

Of course. Relationships don't always have to do with sex. The important thing is if you love each other or not.
