The other night my golden retriever slept in the tub. I thought it was the craziest thing.

Dellajoy, I have a Great Pyrenees, and he loves to sleep in the tub during the summer when the A/C keeps the tub nice and cool. It's hilarious, he's a huge beast and we walk by the bathroom and see four giant legs sticking up in air :)

LOL That's the funniest place I ever heard a Golden to sleep in! It probably was because it ws the coolest place she could find. My Goldens love the cool tile of the bathrooms. I have 2 big boys here and I usually find one in each bathroom stretched out on the floor.

My german shepherd sleeps in the bathtub when there is a thunder storm going on. She's also occupied the shower stall and slept there all night.

My dogs always have slept indoors but we had dog houses outside for napping during the day. The lab we used to have napped on top of her dog house. I have seen smaller dogs do that (like my beagles) but not as big a dog as she was. It was cute.

I am not sure why they seek out cooler places to sleep, my cat has always slept in the bathroom sink, curled up. When I go in to use the sink, I have to pick him up and move him.

When cats and dogs are sick, sometimes they seek out cooler places to lie down and/or sleep like a bathroom floor or tub. Please make sure you're dog is not unwell.

I don't know that was so strange but it sure was funny. I found my Beagle on my bed with one pillow under him and the other on top of him. A Beagle sandwich.

My dog likes the shower, and under the stairway (we have a closet under the stairs).
