don't know who said it but I agree. people talk about supporting the troops and put these yellow ribbons on their car but sending our military on a pointless goose chase is the ultimate in disrespect for the troops. Bush doesn't care because his core supporters are well-off people and the people getting killed in iraq are the not-so-well-off who join the military to get out of a dying small town or in trying to get a few nickels to help with college.

I can tell you as an Enduring Freedom Veteran who just got back last year, that OUR ( soldiers ) moral is low. My husband is on his way for the 3rd time and for 15 months now, our family moral will be low too. Troops spend more time in the sand box then they do with their families. That is the leading cause for divorce in the military. Some families can't handle being separated, most children are left with one or no parent. Why should These soldiers have to keep going when there are plenty of capable men and women kicking back here in this safe country that we provide for them. For those of you that don't know when we sign that contract to join, we gave up ALL our rights. We belong to the chain of command of Uncle Sam. Yes we made the choice, but some of us had families to provide for and for me it was stay on welfare or quick benefits and an okay pay check. Most people aren't even grateful because there against war, well guess what? We are too. People shouldn't complain if they don't do anything to step up. If people want to help out troops, join the military. Let us see our children grow up.
