Sorry but you made a HUGE mistake. He makes his money off any payments issued under Med Pay and any BI settlement you receive. See, here's how it works....the attorney will tell the doctor to send all the inflated bills to him and when you're med pay has been exhausted THEN he'll send the bills to your insurance demanding the check for the bills be sent to him. THEN your attorney will "reduce" the bill to the doctor and keep the difference. What sucks is let's say your office visit on the bill is $400 but when the attorney calls the doctor the doctor will accept $100 and your attorney keeps the $300 difference that is RIGHTFULLY YOURS!!!! but the lawyer doesn't tell you this when you hire them.
OH, and btw...this also happens with the injury settlement. So you thought the attorney was going to help you right? You're gonna get the wrong end of this one and there's nothing you can do now to stop it--even if you fire the guy, he'll assert a lien on your settlement which means he gets paid first, NOT YOU.

No. If you are represented then it's HIM that the insurance has to deal with.
