Hi all! I'm a 27 year old 6"2 200lb guy who runs 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 miles 3 to 4 times a week. I mix an Amino Acid drink and drink it before during and after my run (same drink, not three seperate ones) I was wondering what effect i would see if i started adding a protien supplement to my routine? How much, when and what kind of effect would it produce? I'm in pretty good physical shape and am not looking for a "magic bullet" supplement, just wondering what it would do. Help me run longer? Gain weight, lose weight. Thanks for the help!!

increasing the protein intake has no effect on athletic performance. for that you need to make sure your diet is high in low GI carbs. they are slow burning and keep insulin levels stable.
