i am 13 male and i am 5'6, i play sports everyday and i have a healthy diet and i weigh 57kg. On Wednesday, I had to lift 17kg of stuff in school for about 30 minutes but not straight, 45 minutes rest (school), this was the first time in my whole life that i had to carry this types of weights around school (school bag, sport bag, elect. guitar + amp=17 kg) but i did not lift them the whole entire, only when i had class changes and breaks.

Since Wednesday, I felt a soft pain by the joint (near or in the growth plates).
Do u think i stunted my growth? Are these small pains muscular or bone? Will i continue growing? Will i get scoliosis? Did I damage my growth plate? will i recover? how d u know u stopped growing? can u feel when the growth plates turn into solid bone or if they are broken? how much do u think i'll grow?

Take a breath and calm down. You are doing nothing to your growth. Your height is predetermined by genetics. You can stunt it by improper diet but there is nothing you can do to be taller. A male will continue to grow until age 21.

You might want to go here, enter the required info and receive an estimate of how tall you will get to be. Remember, it is only an estimate! It does not take into consideration the rest of the "family tree". It only uses your parents so it is not very accurate.

The pains you are feeling are muscular. Bone pain only results from fractures or diseases. You will feel some aches and pains as you grow and this is totally normal.

As for scoliosis, it mostly runs in families so if your family has it, you may have it. Otherwise, don't borrow trouble. You can't cause scoliosis to happen. If you get it, it is because your family has it, you have a medical condition or you have become an adult and developed it due to a degenerative disorder.

The only way to know you have stopped growing is through a bone-age x-ray or medical testing. Otherwise, you know you have stopped growing when you are 21 because that is when a male is fully grown.

So relax and stop worrying about your height. You are only just starting to enter the phase (puberty) where most of your body growth and changes will occur. Do not obsess over something you cannot control...genetics control the final outcome.
