i dont want to get abs..i just want to slim down those areas..

i know that crunches are good..but they make your waist thicker..but i dont want a thick waist..

any other good exersises??

you are wright - crunches and other ab exercises build muscle UNDERNEATH the layer of fat. overall weight loss is the only way to reduce that.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

There are no exercises to spot lose fat.

Only by reducing your overall body fat can you reduce love handles and stomach fat.

If you are not very active, you can do sit ups or crunchs that will tone your stomach muscles.

This can tighten your stomach and make it appear thinner, but the fat will still be there.

Only by eating less calories than you burn, can you lose fat.

And, doing crunch's won't make your waist thicker, it could if you went overboard and did hundreds everyday, but as long as you do 30 to 50 everyday, it will tone the muscles, not build them up.

The exercises below will tone your abs. If you want to slim down, I'd try walking, running and counting calories...see the 2nd link. Good luck!

lay on ur side and do straight leg raises..... bike - lay on ur back and alternate touching elbow and knee... right knee with left elbow and so forth.......in a fast repetitive manner... 6inches - put ur legs straight out six inches above the ground and hold it for a minute or more..... or raise them up and down without letting them hit the ground... or let someone push them down without letting them hit the ground and then raise them again..... another is to lay on ur back and put ur legs straight up in the air and use ur hips to push them to the ceiling.... not very high... just a lot of small onces in repitition..... hope these help... the key is to do a few each day.... not just a lot one day of the week..... and eat healthy also....
