Ok so i'll be 15 in 2 weeks, and i'm 130 pounds. People keep telling me i'm fat and i hate it. I know i'm not like "fat" but i have some fat that shoudln't be there. I do 8 minute abs ever single night! I've done this for like a month and still no fat burning. Whats going on? (I also run track for 2 hours a day)

Ok I have no idea what those ppl ^^^ have said because I didn't read their answers, but at 15 you have "baby fat" still. It's a small amount of "fat" that stays in places it shouldn't be so that when you have a growth spurt you'r body won't get stretch marks. Some teens I knew were so worried about this that they forced their body to be rid of this "baby fat" and when they grew again around their Junior or Senior year they had lovely stretch marks. Don't worry about a lil pudge right now. You're beautiful (or handsome) for who you are even if you don't see it someone does. You're doing all you really need to do to stay healthy just let it go away naturally. Stay healthy and think safe!

How tall are you? Your height is a better indicator of what your ideal weight should be, than your age.

Eight minutes of ab work isn't all that much, although the 2 hours of running a day should be great for burning fat all over your body. Up your ab work to 20 or 30 mins, every other day (give the muscles time to rest/heal between workouts). If that doesn't help in 6 - 8 wks then perhaps what you are seeing is loose skin/flab over your abs and not fat. Have you ever been very overweight?

You've still got some growing (height and filling out) to do so don't get too uptight about your weight. Keep it healthy, but don't be too strict...

Mark,
relax your only fifteen, I noticed you didn't state your height that is important as well. You are still growing into your body, do not make your weight your total focus focus on your food intake ( fresh friuts & fegtables are extremely important)
Don't over due any excersizes. If you'd like i can give you a healthy work out regimin that works then it is up to you to take it to the top.
First day: breakfast plain oatmeal (may add small amount of cinnamon) 1 banana
Excersize : 45 min on a treadmill incline at 9 and at a slow pase * maybe 3 or 4.
Lunch: !00% wheat bread ( one side of the bread spread something light) fresh colcut meat) 1 apple, side salad
this is just an example
As long as you are happy with your self then this will work.
Remember your only 15 you will grow into your body more just eat right and excersize effectavely.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes Jennifer

Don't worry. I'm in the same boat... Some bodies, (like mine) are carb sensitive, and that means we react REALLY badly to carbs (I can just look at a piece of cake and gain 10 pounds) So what I do, is I try and cut out carbs after 5:00. After 5:00 your metabolism slows down so all that crap turns to fat. I've lost about 20 pounds doing it so far. (2 months)

you have to decrease body fat percentage to get rid of fat on any part of your body - we cant targer any specific areas.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

Those are excess skin that came from being overweight before. At the current stage the only way to remove those excess skin is through surgery, but some people keep them to show off how much work they've done to lose the weight. The more weight you lose, the more excess skin, or more "saggy" the skin becomes.

First of all...don't listen to people who tell you that you are fat. You are 15 and just begining to grow into a young woman. I was the same way and believe me, if you keep exercising the way you do, you will be very happy. It doesn't happen over night. Watch what you eat. Eat lots of green veggies, fruits and good protein. Stay away from sugar and everything that contains lots of sugar. READ YOUR LABELS. Don't forget to drink lots of water too.......

Time to start the battle of the bulge. When you go to bed at night do leg lifts. If you can get an abdominizer about $30 bucks do these exercises everyday and maybe that's all you'll ever have to do to keep that tummy taut.

If you can afford it join a gym and get a personal trainer. If not, call around and take advantage of one of those temporary membership deals they have at most gyms. Talk to the people who work there they know how to look good and stay healthy.

I gave you this council so do it:
1. Do some tae-bo all the days.
2. Go to the gym maybe one day a week, but is better you go all the days of a week.
