As a sufferer of clinical depression, I advise you to go to a doctor asap. Get some meds.
As a Fellow Catholic, just grab the rosary, and even if you can't "concentrate" on the mysteries or form words, just put yourself in the Blessed Mother's care and God's Hands. Prayer does not have to be verbal.
I will offer a prayer to St. Jude for you.
You WILL do better!!

I will pray for you and your friend for mental, emotional, and spiritual peace:

Heavenly Father, please touch these two good people with Your love and healing strength, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Help them to trust in You and to know that You will care for them even in the most difficult times. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

P.S. I think Dragonfly gave a great answer -- both in terms of the meds and the Rosary. Just holding your Rosary and letting yourself fall into the rhythm of the prayers will help calm and focus your thoughts. Our Blessed Mother understands if the mediation part is too hard to do right now.

I have suffered from depression to and it is good you are talking about it! The only way to fight this is through prayer and staying in the word! Also being around fellow Christians help because you can pray with them and they will listen to your problems! Don't try to fight this yourself give it to God! He loves you and cares about you! You also have somebody here that will pray for you and your friend!

I'd say that prayer and the Bible is most advisable. These things will get your head focused. Just know that humans have free will, what happened to ypur friend she did to herself. Don't let her mistake affect your future. Study your finals first, and help her receive forgiveness second.

God grant me the serenity

To accept the things I cannot change

The courage

To change the things I can

And the wisdom to know the difference.

Its very natural to be upset...and the thing is, you can't do anything about it...Embrace
your friend because she really needs you now...God will help you, all you need to do is ask...God Bless You, and prayers will
help her and you both....
