If a person's name for God is different but he still means the one who created everything is that person really going to go to hell? Is God so small that if you don't call him God or Jesus he will put you in hell? Does God really care how you worship him as long as you do?

Everyone wonders this at some point in their lives. Here's the way I've thought it out. If there's only one God, all religions which worship one God, worship the same God. The religions may have a slightly different concept of God, but since no human can have full knowledge of God, it's likely that none of these varying concepts of God is actually wrong. If God is all knowing and all loving, why would he care exactly how he is worshipped as long as a person was sincere.

That is an excellent question and one I don't have any real answer to, but I do believe that God knows our heart and if you do worship him (by another name) then He knows.
I know the bible says that you must believe in Jesus to be saved, and I do believe in Jesus, so I'm really not sure how it all works.
If someone is reffering to God's son, and the fact he died for our sins and rose again, I don't see how calling him by a different name would change anything.
But just my opinion. I do truly believe in a loving God.

Yes and beware of making yourself a paper god to worship instead of THE GOD of Heaven and Earth described in The Holy Bible, some folks take verses the ones they like and disregard the ones they do not like, and because satan also wants your worship and The Holy Bible is your ONLY guide line how to know which is which, and for your information the bible says in Heb.13:8, John 8:58. John 1, and The Father Himself in Heb.1:5-9 says Jesus "IS" God, For in John 3:16 For God [The Father] "SO" Loved YOU that He gave [Jesus the second member of The Godhead gave Himself] so "IF" you will BE-LIVE in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life, also John 14:15 "IF" you Love me [then] Keep my commandments. find out more about God [not god] free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org talk to me email wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

Of course God is that big.

God does not care about the name used, or the precise ritual followed, but the state of the soul. If a soul is open to God's Love, then the name matters not at all.

After all, we've been mis-pronouncing Yeshua ben Yousef's name for close to two millennia now, insisting on calling him a ridiculous Greek version of his Hebrew name.

Would you like to be called by a different name than the one you were give at birth?
Jehovah is the Almighty God...there is no other like him in the entire Universe.
So how can puny humans assume that the this Divine Being would desire to be called any thing other than by his rightful name? Psalms 83:18

Yes he is big enough. We all speak different languages but as long as were talking about the same God then there is no issue. In the US we call him "God" and in a place like, for example brazil they call him "Deus". As long as were talking about the same God that created the heavens and the earth, Came in human flesh to die for sinners and ressurected and by him we are saved then there is no problem.

God said that He is the I AM...meaning whatever you need Him to be, He's just that. If you need a father, He is the Heavenly Father, if you need peace, He the prince of peace. If you need joy, He's got that too, if you need Him to heal your mother while you're in need of a financial breakthrough. Then He's Jehovah Rophe(the God that heals), and He' Jehovah Jireh(the God that provides) all at one time. That's just how bad our God is. He wouldn't be God if He couldn't do this.

Yes, God is big enough. It is only people who care how others think of God.
