Our 4 month old Cockatiel is friendly towards our older cockatiel, but he is rather mean towards her, but he loves her and flips out at us and attacks us if we go near her, and he tends to bite her.
how can we stop that.
And, the 4 month old baby is a little mena towards people, any way we can get her to be nicer?

Thanks

I believe you should have started off by having the younger bird in a seperate cage then work with that bird talk to it. If you have friends that come over frequently let them talk to the bird then gradually offer your hand to the bird if it steps up then continue t do that everday till the bird is more confident in you. sometimes when birds become aggressive they are ethier scared or dont want to be bothered I have a cockatiel that was given to me and she didnt want anything to do with me at first i worked with her everday offering her a peice of food and eventually she relaxed and started coming to me without a problem i would try that and see how it works. Wait till the younger bird is a little bit older before placing it in the cage with the older birds. Sometimes older birds can become queit mean to the younger ones especially if they feel like they are invading there territory.

Be very careful and watch!!!!!!! If, the male too aggressive toward the female he could and will kill her. Cockatiels are funny birds. They prefer who they prefer and sometimes it you or someone else!!!! It hard to explain in short. Once a man had a Parrot and a Cockatiel and he get another cockatiel. He say the Female loved the parrot and would fight the male cockatiel. I try to tell this short, but, be careful if they not seem to make a connection!

I'd seperate them, they each can have their own space but keep the cages next to each other but not close enough that the older one can maybe nip the babies toes.
And work with the baby to stop the "not liking humans" routine, young birds will copy the adults..don't human children copy what their parents do ?
Birds are they same way.

Handle them both equally. And your older bird is gonna need more time to adjust to a new bird. It's like kids. The older feels like hes gonna get neglected casue a new baby is here.
