I just read an article that some of it has found its way into hog feed. So every time you go to the market to buy pork chops you end up eating it in a round about way.

One article I read said that prior to the recall some of the wheat and corn glutens that caused problems for pets were being fed to pigs. There is no word on whether eating food made from those pigs could cause problems to the people who eat the pigs.
Here is a lot of info on it from the FDA

My mom's canine eats dry Bruiser (which the moist became on the bear in mind checklist). He began vomiting and does no longer consume or drink. he's been out and in of the vet's for a week now, or maybe had to stay in one day some days. on the start they thought it became renal kidney failure, now it seems he now has Addison's ailment. The canine continues to be ill, his hind legs harm so undesirable he can rarely walk, and now he has to take a pill daily and get injections as quickly as a month. to date this has value her very very nearly $900 in vet charges. There has have been given to be some connection to the dry meals!!! It got here out of nowhere and the vet says it is merely the 2nd case he observed in 10 years! yet yet, no one will pay attention!

In California there a pig farms that have been quarantined because they were fed the recalled food and they took urine tests on the pig and they found melamine in their urine so now they can not sell them for food for humans. They are quarantined. The corn gluten was only found in africa and it did not leave africa.

That's a really good question. Unless they want to kill the cows or pigs though, they probably wouldn't.

I doubt it. but I always figured that they just gringed it up and put it into a compost pile and used it as dirt. or something like that.
but if they fed it to cattle or something then it would probably get them sick as well, don't you think?

They are forming it into meat patties and serving it in school cafeterias. Who knows? But I don't think they are going to throw it away or destroy it. They will still try and make a profit from it.

I imagine it would be incinerated! They would never be allowed to reuse it in anyway! Maybe they'll give it to rats???
