In hawaiian tradition, is there a significant meaning to a women putting the flower on her right ear as opposed to her left ear? What does it symbolize?

I believe left ear means you are single and right means you are spoken for. Or it could be the other way around.

Over the left ear signifies marriage, and over the right ear means that she is looking and available. best wishes

If its one the left side, it means shes married, or taken. On the right side the flower signifies she is looking.
