With his level of intelligence...wouldn't he be working at McDonalds, if it weren't for the fact that his Mother is from a wealthy family, and his Father is from a political family?

He had questionable scholastic merits...and does not demonstrate any ounce of intelligence.

George Bush doesn't seem to care what the american people want or think, he doesnt even read the news or watch tv.
so how would he know what we are about?
It used to be for the people, by the people.
what happened to that?

Do I like George Bush? No. I don't like either of the Bushes that the U.S. has been unfortunate enough to have as President. I especially dislike the current Bush, and can't wait until he's out of office.

In my experience, the civil service (or equivalent administrative body) prefer the presidents/prime ministers not to be intelligent, or else they begin to question what officials present them in terms of policy. The civil service manipulate polititians in order to maintain continuity of policy between different administrations. In reality therefore, politians have only influence in policy making, not power.

There is an excellent TV satire drama program called "Yes Minister", and the follow up "Yes prime minister" which one can watch on "youtube.com", which shows the relation between policy enforcers and polititians, and its bl**dy hilarious.

weather I 'like' him or not is irrelevant to me ... I dont know him

he doesn't present himself well, he doesn't speak well, and he has made colossal mistake after colossal mistake and then tried to cover it up ... and no one seems to care

I believe if he wasn't elected in the first place we wouldn't be in this mess in Iraq

and I was shocked that he was re-elected, I've never seen a worse president, or thought a president has hurt our country more ... and he doesn't seem to understand the need for civil rights or separation of church and state

but other than that, I'm sure hes a heck of a nice guy

As a Christian, I'm called to love everyone. However, I strongly disagree with many of his policies and I believe they are more part of the problem than they are the solution.

I am a Republican, but I don't like our President. Nevertheless, I would never disrespect the leader of our Country with comments like those you present in your question. He is the President, and deserves respect.

And I don't say this because I am of the same Party, because I strongly opposed the ridicule Republican Congress when they started getting in the private life of President Clinton. We need to be objective, even when our politicians ain't so.
