I think it depends on the child. Any where from 13yrs. to 16yrs... depending on how mature your child is and how they act. As a parent we have to "feel" these things out.

It depends on the child and the movie. I'd say around 13 most kids should be mature enough to see a movie with a group of friends and 16 and older is ok to go on dates and go by themselves.

I would say 13...as in like PG-13, ya know? But it probably depends on whether or not you think your child will behave in a theater without supervision.

If you have escorted them and they prove they know how to behave in a theater they are old enough. Otherwise you may need to continue your instruction and demonstration. People put a lot of weight in age but each kid develops on their own pace. That is why I would prefer the parents be the judge of when children should learn things like driving, drinking, educational subjetcs, ect...

I don't think there can be a set age put on it. I think that it totally depends on the child. Maturity and responsibility play a much greater role in my decision than age.

At 13 I allowed my daughter to go to the movies with girlfriends only. She is now 14 and allowed to go with mixed groups but I drive and pick up. She is responsible and mature and I trust her. Some kids I wouldn't allow out of my sight until they are 16 but she's a good kid.

13 with some friends. Just drop him off in front of the theater and pick him up in front right when the movie is over.

I was 11 when I started. Parents dropped me and a friend or three off and picked us up when it was over. Sometimes when I was younger (9/10) my mom and her friend would go and my friend and I would be in a seperate movie.
