Its funny how people say that the normans that invaded in 1066 were French.

Nope, the clue is in the name. A Norman is a short version of Norseman. This is where the name of the area came from. The area was extensively populated by vikings not the wimpy French! Lets face it, you honestly think they would have won the battle of Hastings if they were French? You have got to be kidding me.

So if you consider that the indigenous population is part Norman, part Saxon, part Roman and a few other varieties of European tribe thrown in for good measure such as Picts, Jutes, Angles, Visi Goths and Aussie back packers the population is pretty much stableised. You have to remember that apart from being generally unwashed they were from virtually the same gene pool.

Blair is ousted from power and replaced with someone who has a more sensible idea about immigration, criminal justice, healthcare and defence spending your grandchildren can expect to be jobless (because immigrants have got all the jobs), robbed and / or assaulted on a regular basis because criminals now have little to fear from the justice system and can expect to have little to fear in the future, to be riddled with illness and injury and have little if any hope of treatment because of massive NHS waiting lists, and the possibility of invasion by a foreign power because our government wastes money on things like the millennium dome and our soldiers are expected to go to war with barely functioning equipment

26,000 leaving EVERY year, huh? And only about 604,000 births! Gee, at that rate, Britain will be overrun by "immigrants", er.....never!

You are an immigrant. Statistically, you are probably mostly French (remember 1066 & all that?)!

well, maybe not your grandchildren, but I'd like to think that by the time we get around to your grandchildren's grandchildren, the predominate look is going to be a "homogenous homosapien"... Those of so many mixed descendants, that the whole issue just seems silly.

Besides, inter-racial breeding has been shown to be beneficial to the species. that applies to humans too....
