Many people have done me favors i can never repay, from giving me money for the subway to spending the night talking me out of suicide.

But the truly kindest act has been exp[laining to me that the only repayment they wanted was that, when able, i go out of my way to perform such an act for someone else who's in need.

Though my debt is big, i can repay it constantly, and that's made me believe life is worth living.

Hi Isobell
I asked this question yesterday so thank you for asking again so I can answer it this time!

When my husband and I were stuggling (he was unemployed and we had 3 children under 5) we received a phone call one evening about 3 weeks before Christmas. The caller simply asked if we were home. My husband (who never questions anyone - I'm still working on that), says sure.

about an hour later, after we had the kids to bed, we get a knock at the door and these people are there with baskets and boxes full of stuff: food, treats, toys, clothes, gifts, toiletries, and lots of other things. 3 huge boxes and a few grocery bags! They wouldn't tell us who they were or where they were from. We had never seen them before and didn't recognize the car.

It was the greatest single material blessing we had ever had - and came just in time as we had nothing in the house and nothing for the kids for Christmas.

God is truly good - ALL the time!

thank you for asking
blessings :)

When I was working as a store clerk on a hectic Christmas Eve a customer learned that I was not able to see my family for Christmas and she instantly invited my husband and myself to share Christmas with her family at her home. I still don't know why, but I accepted, and it turned out to be great. I will always be grateful for that unbelievably kind act of faith from someone who didn't know me from Adam.

That is a tie with the woman who helped me and four friends in the middle of the night when we were sailing on the coast in the fog and completely lost our bearings - we went into a cove with a light and knocked on the door. She invited us in for a drink, let us use her phone and then drove us the three miles to the main road so our ride could pick us up. It was past midnight but she didn't bat an eye. What a sweetheart!

BTW, I consider this Question another kind act from a stranger. It really lifts me up to read all these kind deeds on here - thank you for giving us a way to show our gratitude for the angels in our world.

I was once strained at an airport without ample cash to do something with. The gentleman who was once from Texas purchased me dinner a soda and left me with $20 in case I desired something else to consume that night, earlier than he acquired on his flight. I was once caught on the airport for 12 hours. He was once a large blessing and he by no means requested me for something. And wherein ever he's I pray that God has blessed him so tremendous that he can hardly ever include it and keeps to take action. Then a moment time being a unmarried mother and fairly financially suffering to make ends meet it was once evidently devasting to me while my auto died. And there is not any public transportation wherein I reside. His babysitter is 20 miles away and my paintings 10 miles away and now not even one sidewalk in that distance. So with no auto I wasn't certain what I was once going to do. My neighboor permit me borrow hers for three days after which any individual confirmed up on my door step and GAVE me their mazada that runs very good. I nonetheless have it and in spite of it has top miles and demands to get replaced sooner or later it runs amazing and is the sort of blessing I are not able to even being to articulate it. And there are those who say there is not any God. God is amazing and I additionally pray that he blesses that man or woman for his or her severe generousity. I know the way so much they cherished this auto and the way difficult it was once for them! Praise God!

I was recently in NYC for a conference and I had about 3 suitcases with me and my bag. (yeah, I'm one of those.) I'm trying to get into the elevator and get to the correct floor to meet up with the other people in my group and it was murderous to find an elevator that wasn't filled and get my crap inside before the doors closed on me. I didn't realize that the elevators were unique in that when you punched in a floor number, it directs you to a specific elevator which is not necessarily the one you're standing next to. I got into the wrong elevator but a guy in there with me saw the trouble I was having and helped me get into the right elevator and helped me carry my things. He was a real nice guy, an actor, from out of town who was in NY visiting his sister. I don't even remember the guys name. Thanx!

A 13-year-old girl (I was also 13 at the time) came out of the restaurant that we had just eaten in to return my book to me. I had almost left it there. That would have been a supreme tragedy, considering I hadn't finished it yet!

We let a woman stay with us when her husband was in a bad
car wreck. He was hospitalized in St. Louis. They were from out of town and didn't know a soul or have money. They were
farmers. She was an older lady and she was so sweet. I still hear from her at Christmas time.

This is an awesome question!
I am going to think....I know many have done sweet things-- even if they are small things...like holding a door open, or asking if I need help with carrying something.

OH I know of one.
A friend of mine a long time ago, had her wisdom teeth pulled, it was surgery though- and so I had to pick her up because she was groggy after waking up. I could not carry her though, she was thin, but still, dead weight, and she was heavy! So I got her to the car, and when I got back to my apartment, I had to lift her around my neck, so her feet were dragging- inside and put her on the couch, but she was so heavy- so a guy outside saw me and ran over and just started helping me-- he didnt even ask, he was very nice. I am so glad he did too, because she would of ended up sleeping on the sidewalk. lol
I try to give homeless people food when I see them....I have at one time taken my kids out with me, we made lunches and handed them out downtown to people who were on the streets. I don't give them money though, because who knows what they will spend it on.

I was hit from behind while waiting a stop light and my fender was embedded in my tire so I could not drive. A young man saw me stranded and pulled over and banged the metal out of my tire so I could drive home. That was so nice of him.
