That seem very high. Call around to local offices like Progressive or Nationwide and get a free quote. My husband and I have Nationwide and we have the highest amount that you can cover on our vehicle a 98 Nissan Pathfinder and it's only $354 every 6 months and we are under 30 years old. What state do you live in? I know when we lived in Florida insurance costs were crazy expensive, but now that we live in Indiana it is much cheaper. I would definitely call around and get quotes because that is way too much. Good luck & I hope you find a different company.

Lets be clear on this! It's a six month policy because it says it's a SIX MONTH POLICY. The reason it is for six months is because the Banking and Insurance laws tell the insurance company's that they must offer you a policy for six months minimum so they do. Typically in most cases you will be permitted to renew your policy after six months and continue to "roll" the policy as long as you want to. However, every time you renew, it's a new policy. So, if the company decides to change the rates, or if the company decides to exclude certain things they will not cover or if the company decides to put you into a different rate class, then by paying your premium you agree to it. Also, the company has the option of dropping you as a customer after six months if for some reason they no longer desire you (most likely the office that signed you up) to be a customer. I hope this explains insurance policy's a little better. Doctor K

It would really pay you to shop around. Auto insurance rates depend on a number of factors and there are differences between the companies that you can exploit. Here's a website where you can find a lot of information about this plus tips, links and info. Get at least 4 quotes before deciding which one suits you best. I hope this helps.
Good luck!

that is very high. i pay that much for 4 cars with 100,000 and 300,000 liability. i would check around to find something cheaper. also i would raise your liability limits as 25000 property damage isn't much in this day and age.

Your agent would be best equipped to answer your questions. Are you in a high crime area? What ZIP code? What about your credit rating? Rent, or own your house? It all makes a difference.

Call different insurance companies and ask them for a quote. Tell them your current premium and ask them if they can beat it. You should be able to get a lower premium especially how competative the insurance comp. are.

the only thing I can think of is..'do you have a bad driving record'? If so, that is probobly why, but if it's not bad you may want to ask your insurance representative.
