They're both really good schools.

You probably have a better chance of finding inexpensive off campus housing at San Jose State, just because it's fairly easy to commute there from areas with lower real estate costs.

This is a matter of your preference. Many people will give you their opinion but you are the one who has to go there. So I ask you a question which would you pick and why? If you can answer that question and be satisified in your heart with your answer then go to that school.
