I need a name too for a new little girl kitty, I was thinking Mimi like Hello Kittys sister, then I thought about Tess, I use to have a cat name Flossie, and one named Gracie. I also thought about Tangi, but whats funny is last night I started calling her Tizzy out of nowhere, and it seems to fit. Then I saw that name here again, I think I might stick with that, my husband likes it too. Just wish I knew what it meant?

additional details would be good, but here are some tips. I named my cat from where he was born. He was born in a barn, so we named him :Barnaby (Barn-a-be)

+ Go with what you like best

+ How does the cat act? If the cat's very fast and zippy, name it somehting according to that.

+ Where was the cat born? Like said, that's how i named mine!

+ What does it look like? Use that too!

+ Does it play with a certain toy, or remind you of something? (special)

Hope it helps, and i have always favored the names Barnaby, Linnie, Topae (Tow-pa)

Cats usually come with a name. You should try to ascertain from her directly what she prefers to be called. I'm not joking. Speak several possible names to her. She will goosh her eyes at you when she likes a particular name. And, remember, cats, especially female cats, are extremely sensitive and have highly developed genetic memory of when her kind used to eat humans for midnight snacks. She does not consider herself to be YOUR pet, but, rather that YOU are her pet. She wants a foo-fooey name, but not one that insults her or reduces her in statue next to you. She has great dignity and opinions in that regard.
