The truth of it is that smoking it does have long-term effects. If you don't think it is, then you need to talk to some people that used to smoke and are now in their 50s or 60s. I know several that basically have no short term memory anymore, and have no ability to do more than one task at a time. Their brains are too fried. This doesn't even count the fact that you can still be lung cancer from smoking weed. In fact, there is a higher risk than smoking regular cigarettes because there is no filter on a joint. It isn't good for your body. Yes, God gave us plants, but it does not that mean every single one of them is beneficial for us. Think of this for a moment. We are given poison oak and poison ivy, but I don't see someone making a pillow out of the stuff and claiming that God made it so we should be able to use it.
And just to correct you on another fact, Bob Marley was born on February 6, 1945. The term 420 started in 1971 with a group of people at a high school. It was the time and the shorthand code that they would meet at a spot to smoke pot. It is not a police code for anything or anything of that nature. It's not Bob Marley's birthday. In fact, it's the day of rememberance for the shootings of Columbine, and it's Hitler's birthday to be exact. Sorry to burst your bubble there, buddy.

Yes I just love your silly question sir...In my opinion I think that there is something in the Bible about weed smokers.Okay doesn't studies show that it tears down your brown cells and what is the one thing that can not and will not rejuvenate...the brain cells and without brain cells can you live...okay who just killed the brain cells...you right...by smoking the marijuana so to me you are committing suicide and it should be illegal if you are in pain pray do some type of therapy such as positive thinking, spiritual therapies, all these things you can pray about you know you don't have to try and kill yourself at everything you do...SMILE GOD gave you life and he can give you a better life if you get the right understanding of his word because it isn't hard !!! THINK if you can't then maybe it is the marijuana

Nothing really. It was outlawed back when the gov. was not physically able to regulate it, and then Nancy Reagan started to demonized drugs. But now, the Dutch have proved weed can be legal without society falling apart as once thought. So there really isn't any excuse now.

Well, the bible does talk about staying away from drunkeness...which isn't necessarily alcoholic. I take it to mean anything that alters the mind whether it be alcohol, drugs, or idols that take major focus off God. Also, the bible says we are to submit to higher authority...so, the law's the law and we need to abide by it.

I think your unpunctuated, rambling badly thought out sentence pretty much illustrates why smoking cannabis is not such a good idea. It frazzles your brain, eventually.

If you wish to smoke marijuana that is your choice. However I think that it is only fair to tell you about its long term negative side effects.
Please look over these websites for details on marijuana:
