McDonalds has claimed to have served billions, yet we do not find billions of hamburger wrappers or ex-hamburger patties. The claim must be false.

The only thing that the age of the earth has to do with evolution is that biologists all agree that if the earth was really 6,000 years old, there would not have been enough time for evolution to occur. Other than that, you have mixed up your sciences. The age of the earth is geology. Evolution is biology.
We have found proof that evolution is true. Those who keep whining that it hasn't been proven are either blissfully ignorant of that proof or they refuse to accept it.
Now, don't bother sending me a message, asking me for this proof. Browse some of my answers to similar questions, or post it yourself and I will copy and paste the answer. Don't try to change the subject. I won't fall for it. I'm only answering your question, and I will take no part in creationist games, where I type three pages of material just so you can tell me that it isn't acceptable.
If you want to discuss proof, give us some proof that the earth is 6,000 years old and God spit into some dirt to make us.

Bone rots and disperse into the soil Jordan. You were thinking of Fossils. That happens when minerals soak into bones and stone like mineral deposit is left.
We find these fossils in very old rock. It's an interesting fact that the deeper these fossils are found, the less complicated the creatures. The oldest fossils are of the simplest creatures.

The Earth is about 4.5 billion years old and this has been verified using several methods.
If you are really interested in this, you should do a bit of research. Fossils are quite rare.
A very small fraction of animals and plants that ever lived become fossilised.

Please sprout a frontal lobe.
There is evidence for evolution. The fossil record is a huge one, and substantiates Darwin's original claims. Secondly DNA evidence shows the relationship between species.
We live in an old universe that is nearly 14 billion years old. Why reduce it to something small and measly in order to support bronze-age myths about the world?

Some people seem to think evolution is the only reason scientists say the earth is 4.6 billion years old, as if geology isn't a scientific field.

You know what is strange about that, is, I don't recall reading anywhere in my Bible that the earth was created on such and such a date.
I do, however, recall seeing some indication that the earth was void...not a void, but void...and that God wanted to replenish...not plenish. Not saying that I think the world had been around before that time, but then, not saying it might not have been, either. I'm really only fifty seven...my grandkids might think I'm older than dirt, but I promise, dirt had already been around for some time before God saw fit to create me in my Mom's womb.
Possibly the earth is older than even science thinks it is, who really knows?
I don't, you don't, and neither does science know.
But I can tell you Who does.........

It sure took us a long time to find out about a printing press, but we can go from a model T to an airplane over night.

Ever heard of the fossil record? Ever heard of sedimentary geology? We DO have all the hard evidence anyone with the sense that God gave tweezers would ever want. You just don't want to face that, and personally I can't blame you. I wouldn't want to either, if it meant having to re-assess my entire distorted worldview.
