Why would someone want to be related to an ape or monkey?
People all through history have been people.
Apes and monkeys have always been apes and monkeys.
No in-between has ever been found or will be found.

Apes and humans are on different evolutionary paths, they do not evolve into one another either way round. Both shared a common ancestor millions of years ago (along with fish, dinosaurs and bananas).

Ironically for your question, it has recently been demonstrated (the article was in New Scientist this month I think) that apes are actually more evolved than humans (more genetic mutations), dispelling the theory that more evolved species are more intelligent.

People do not understand that they do talk, they do communicate and they are smart. So do all animals, only we can not understand them, but some of us can. I can understand my cat and dog sometimes. Maybe they never develop a complex language or advanced culture because their environment never forced them to or maybe they are just incapable, but that still does not mean they are not intelligent. Also, it has been proven that intelligence is not necessarily a important trait for survival since all organism tend to die off anyways eventually. There are plenty examples of very successful organisms that are not what we humans would call intelligent life forms.

The world has uses for more than just the human animal. I know religious people think they are the pentultimate species, but I have news for you...if you are well adapted to your environment, you get to stay.
