Your psychology textbook is probably quite out of date. The other side of it really is based upon how the question was asked. Another was 95% of the people might consider it wrong.... but then they had sex before marriage anyway. Remember statistics don't mean much in the show understand the context in which they were and asked.
It also would depend on what group was asked and how large this group was. Was all the people in the survey 16 years old or over 80. I'm sure they ask all 20-year-old males they wouldn't get this percentage.
If you were to ask this question in a Muslim country you might get 95%... might even get a 100%... but in the US... come on. If you ask a different question such as how many women expect there husband to being a virgin when they get married.... you think the percentage is going to be 95%..... it be lucky if it was 30%

your textbook was probably written long ago or the area in which the people where asked where highly religious. to the question. I used to believe it was wrong because of my religion. But now that i live with my boyfriend and have premarital sex I dont think it is wrong because it not casual sex i do love the person i am with.

I don't agree with your psychology book. There's just no possible way that 95% of the public thinks that premarital sex is wrong. Either I'm wrong about what sex is or majority of the public is hypocritical (with all the STDs and children being born out of wedlock).
Personally, I'm indifferent. I'm neither against it nor for it.

>eighty 3% of human beings are Christian Huh? that supplies me reason to doubt your first stat as nicely... As for the % of hypocrites and so on. purely God is acquainted with. Morey: Claiming to be a Christian is trouble-free, actual being one is a little extra complicated. curiously the individuals doing the polling you're finding at do no longer understand a thank you to tell apart. additionally having actual lived interior the process the 60s and 70s i stumble on it very perplexing to have faith the p.c. of individuals having premarital intercourse have been the comparable as a techniques back because of the fact the 50s than they at the instant are. I went to extreme college interior the SF bay section (i.e. no longer precisely the bible belt) and ninety 5% of my fellow jocks weren't even claiming to have had intercourse interior the 70s. think of how low the numbers could have been for the so-called geeks.

is that book outdated or something, because no offense to anyone, but I highly doubt 95% of people believe that premarital sex is wrong

Premarital sex with out long lasting love is wrong. or you could say its wrong if you dont mind having sex with alot of people now, but later on you wish you didnt so you could have saved yourself for the Love of your Life. True love. believe me its out there.

its is wrong but im guilty of it and i do practice it but it is wrong just because its something a lot of people practice on regular doesnt mean it wasnt wrong to begin with...this type of thing causes jealousy, envy, hate and etc when u end up with ur spouse......but again it all depends on how a person was brought up with the family, friends, and their culture
