The percentile a person is in, be it academic or anything else gives you a number that would indicate (out of one hundred people) how many people would be below them if they were ranked on a scale. In reality, this is only a way to quantify test results or other data. If your child is in the 50th percentile, it means that about half of the children would score lower and half would score higher. It's not the same as an average.

I would be more interested in what the screener had to say about her readiness than her percentile score.

In Oklahoma a baby could be 5 by potential of September a million to commence Kindergarten. Your baby would be between the greater youthful ones yet that doesn't could be a foul ingredient. I practice Kindergarten and a number of of alternative of my brightest scholars are additionally the youngest in the class. countless faculties supply a 4 365 days previous or perhaps 3 365 days previous classes yet i've got self belief that the September a million cut-off date is the comparable for all classes. babies are actually not required to attend the two the 4 or 3 365 days previous software yet Kindergarten is critical.

I'm sorry my daughter hasnt taken a test, but her pre-k teacher told me she is ready for kindergarten! I dont think you have anything to worry about at your daughters age. everyone gets into kindergarten. Is she old enough, i mean did she make the cut off?? or are you trying to start her up early?

I would say not to worry about it right now. I can't believe that they are already assigning scores to children this young, like they won't get assessed and judged enough throughout their lives!
