ofcourse dude. everyone knows that it is best to not be over in Iraq getting shot at. How does that not make logical sense. Not fighting a war live, fighting in a war die. Maybe not everyone is gonna get killed but you have a better chance.
also lol at miamike cause a soldier a who was shot to death said to his parents a week before he died that he was tired of playing war and wanted to come home. If George listened to him then he would still be alive today so when you say listen to the soldiers, they all want to come home alive and be with their families. If your so up on the war tip sign up and stop pretending like you know what soldiers want.

I'm a liberal and have been in the Army for 3 years active. 2 combat deployments, Airborne Infantry. I think we as liberals do. People in the Army are probably the only ones that realize it but the majority of the Army is liberal. Honestly.

Short answer "Yes" some of those "liberals" have served in the various facets of the US military; active duty or reservist.
In a democracy it is best to have checks and balances...Too much of a particular side is just as bad.
being liberal what exactly do you mean? in the progressive nature like accepting global warming as a scientific proof...
not too sure what you mean, hope this answers your question

i dont think anyone except american soldiers knows what is best for american soldiers, we have soldiers coming back to the states with extreme ptsd, and not receiveing the emotional or financial support they need, if you ask me, liberals AND conservatives need to sit and listen to the needs of these soldiers instead of arguin with each other

Do conservatives? Considering all the logistical errors, lack of planning, armor problems, etc.... it doesn't look like ANYONE in the government knows what the heck they're doing. Considering that the conservatives have been running the show up until now, however, they probably deserve a chance. The conservatives haven't done squat for the troops in the past four years.

everybody has their own idea. the people who know best are those with all the information on the war, which is no civilian or serviceman/woman in this country. only the people in homeland security and defense know. no one here can say what is right, conservative or liberal, without knowing all the facts.
and for pops, who wants the terroists to get "group therapy"... i almost cried from laughing so hard... they would rather blow us "infidels" up than spend 2 seconds trying to talk it out... you can't be f-ing serious...

The best thing for our soldiers by themselves is to bring them home and not engage them in unnecessary wars. Liberals are trying to bring the soldiers home, but are cutting spending for them. This may be a tactic to bring them home, but it isn't a smart move. On the other hand, Conservatives want them in Iraq for another decade. So, you tell me if anyone is better.
In short, I think it is time the American people themselves see to getting their troops home, because both liberals and conservatives are incompetent.

Wrong question. A better question would be: "Do they care?"
How can the liberals know 'whats best' when they refuse to listen to what the soldiers have to say?

The best is "veteran" Webb he hasn't done notta since being elected. He gripes but hasn't contributed one great idea.
His campaign slogan should be "The Veteran Was A Flop!"
