Everything about Our Lady points straight back to the Father, Whose faithful daughter she is; to the Son, Whose mother she is; and to the Holy Ghost Who overshadowed her. There is no one in all of History whose relationship with God is as complex, fulfilled, and achingly beautiful as Mary's. She is not only the greatest of Saints, she is our Mother, as Jesus is our Brother and Savior. In honoring her, we honor Him -- and imitate Him, as we are admonished to both honor our parents and imitate Christ, Who loved His Mother. Our relationship with Mary is that of a child to a blessed Mother who was given to us as Jesus gave her to John at the Cross. She is our spiritual Mother (Revelation 12:17 -- And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ), and she wants to pray for us.
Hail, Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death.

She gave birth to Jesus. What more evidence do you need?
Now if you think that she was something special before that, the answer is no. She was a normal girl who made mistakes and was disciplined by her parents just like anyone else of that time. She was engaged to be married at the time of the announcement of the angel and was a virgin, which was probably very typical of those times as well. But she didn't walk around with a halo over her head.
So why her? God, being omniscient, must have known that this girl could handle the events that would be coming up in her life as Jesus' mother: raising him properly as a child, dealing with the controversy and rumors of His ministry in the synagogs, worst of all having to watch your own son die the most brutal and torturous death imaginable.
She wasn't chosen because she was blessed. She was blessed because she was chosen for a once in a creation role; giving birth to the Messiah, the Saviour of mankind and was called to raise Him through childhood.
What was so special was who she was giving birth to.

Mary the divinely chosen and highly favored woman who gave birth to Jesus. There are 5 other Mary's mentioned in the Bible. This one was a descendant of King David, of the tribe of Judah, and a daughter of Heli. When she is first introduced to us in Scripture, she is engaged to Joseph, also of the tribe of Judah and a descendant of David. Was she truly a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus? Luke 1: 26-31 Is this reasonable? It is not impossible for the Creator, who designed the human reproductive organs, to bring about the fertilization of an egg cell in the womb of Mary by supernatural means. Was she always a virgin? Matthew 13: 53 -56 " When Jesus had finished these parables he left the district; and, coming to his home town, he taught the people in their synagogue in such a way that they were astonished and said, ' Where did the man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers? This is the carpenter's son, surely? Is not his mother the woman called Mary, and His Brothers [Greek, a-del-phoi'] James and Joseph and Simon and Jude? His sisters [ Greek, a-del-phai'] too, are they not all here with us? [ on the basis of this text, would you conclude that Jesus was Mary's only child or that she had other sons as well as daughters?
The New Catholic Encyclopedia, 1967, Vol IX, p. 337 admits regarding the Greek words adelphoi and adelphai used at Matthew 13: 55, 56, that these 'have the meaning of full blood brother and sister in the Greek speaking world of Matthew's time would naturally be taken by his Greek reader in this sense. Toward the end of the 4th century [c.380] Helvidius in a work now lost, pressed this fact in order to attribute to Mary other other children besides Jesus so as to make her a model for mothers of larger families. St. Jerome, motivated by the Church's traditional faith is Mary''s perpetual virginity, wrote a tract against Helvidius [AD 383] in which he developed an explanation.. that is Still in vogue among Catholic scholars.
Was she the mother of God? The angel who informed her of the coming miraculous birth did not say that her son would be God. He said: "You are to conceive and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High....The child will be holy and will be called Son of God." Luke 1: 31-35 JB
The New Catholic Enclclopedia says: "Mary is truly the mother of God IF TWO Conditions are fulfilled: 1 that she is really the mother of Jesus and that Jesus really is God. 1967 Vol. X p 21 The Bible says that Mary was the mother of Jesus, but was Jesus God?
In the fourth century, Long After the writing of the Bible was completed, the Church formulated its statement of the Trin ity [New Catholic Encyclopedia, 1967 Vol. XIV, p 295: see page 405, under the heading 'Trinity'
At that time in the Nicene Creed the Church spoke of Jesus as 'very God'. After that the church of Ephesus in 431 C.E. Mary WAS Proclaimed BY THE CHURCH TO BE The-o-to'kos, meaning, 'Godbearer' However, neither that expression nor the idea is found in the text of ANY TRANSLATION OF THE BIBLE.

Mary was conceived Immaculate. Meaning she is the Immaculate Conception. The Catholics celebrate this feast on Dec. 8 of every year. She did not sin. She was preserved from original sin and from every kind of sin. She is the master piece of God. She was an ordinary girl like you and me. She was human in everyway except sin. So God chose her to be the mother of God or of the Savior. She already consecrated herself to God and she wanted to remain a virgin. She was betrothed to Joseph. An angel appeared to her and told her she would be the mother of God. This is called the annunciation. When Mary said her "Fiat", then the Son of God became flesh. Her cooperation with the grace of God enabled the redemption to take place. Mary was chosen by God because she was very humble. She was also sinless and she always did the will of God. She said, "Behold the handmaid of the Lord, let it be done unto me according to your word." So she considered herself God's servant, so He exulted her among all women.
The evidence is in the Bible and in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. There are also books written on Mary like the Book called "Mary of Nazareth", etc.

She was young so I do not think she did much prior to becoming the mother of Jesus...but we know she was already engaged to Joseph at that time.
If you think about it, there is no way that God just "picked" a girl randomly to be the mother of God. She had to have been selected in advance. Therefore she was prepared...and born without original sin. She was the sinless vessel needed to bring the perfect and sinless son of God into our world. She is the new Eve. We know that Eve was created without sin, so Mary must have been as well. We also know that Jesus got his flesh from her...so she had to be without sin.
The evidence is in the reasoning...understanding the overall work of God in Salvation through Christ, leads us to understand and know this to be true.

specific. till now God's maximum helpful One incarnated right into a human physique, He preexisted. there are various, many passages of scripture that help this. the 1st financial disaster of the Gospel of John is one. so a good distance as a mom, specific, of direction, Jesus starting to be human, became born to a girl, so He did have a human mom. yet there's no longer something in scripture that i be attentive to of that shows He had a "heavenly mom."

As far as I understand, she was just a girl. She was 13 or 14 when she became the mother of Jesus.

Luke 1:The Birth of Jesus Foretold
26In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."
29Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. 31You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. 32He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."
34"How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"
35The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[c] the Son of God. 36Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. 37For nothing is impossible with God."
38"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.
This may be a first reading for some of you. There is a tremendous amount of information in these few sentences

There is no "evidence" to back up Mary's story. All we have is scripture. She was a young woman, probably a teenager. She was raised in a typical Jewish home for her day. She was a descendant of David, as was her husband, Joseph. She was picked for that particular, special mission in life before she was born. Before God created this earth and sent any of His children to live here, He presented His plan for us and we accepted it. Certain of His children were given special assignments as part of the plan. Jesus, His firstborn, accepted the assignment to be the Savior for the rest of us. Mary was selected to be His earthly mother. Joseph was selected to be His earthly father to raise and train Him.
Many of us were also given special missions or assignments to fulfill in life. Our obedience to God's teachings will determine whether or not we fulfill that mission. Mary was faithful and did fulfill her mission in life.

She was a child - 13 or so.
I'm not sure if there is any indication of her age in the Bible, but it would be the norm for the time and culture for children to be betrothed at around 12-15.
