He was another driver from another series.Nascar fans hate anybody that didn't start out on 1/4 mi. dirt tracks. Nascar fans that call yourselves RACE FANS haven't got a clue.Wally drove in the S.C.C.A.TRANS AM series, and had lots of wins.Road racing demands tons of talent, which is why the hillbillies don't like it,and him.

I personally did not like the announce team on NBC after they took off Alan Bestwick and put him on the pit crew. Bill Weber rambled on too much and Wally did not know when to contribute. Benny Parsons made the team ten times better than what it should have been. He was a great driver and a great announcer. I think the reason Wally did not know when to contribute is because B.P. was a driver himself. He could make points from a driver's perspective and that takes away from Wally's commentary. Look at the Fox team. Joy is the announcer, McReynolds has pit analysis, and D.W. is the driving commentator. I think if NBC would have had a former crew chief the presentation would be different and Dallenbach would not be viewed as bad necessarily.

I VERY MUCH DISLIKE HIM!! I think he is so arrogant and stupid as half the time he doesn't even know the drivers name and I understand that people get confused but all the time I think not. He doesn't know what he's talking about half the time and is saying one thing about a driver and then going back on what he jsut said and he'll say this guy is ahving this problem and lets listen in and then the guy will say were having this problem and he was talking about a totally different thing. I'm glad NBC is doing a limited amount of races this year as they suck!! I also think Wally should get out of racing as hes no good and I hate that Wally's ride thing as it's stupid and I love DW and his lap around the track as he actually knows what he's talking about.

Nope...I can't stand Wally Dallenbach. The NBC broadcast team was only good because of the late Benny Parsons; he made them great. I don't know what NBC was thinking when they took Weber out of the booth and put Wally because that was a terrible mistake. Half of the time Wally didn't even know what track the race was at and he was giving us incorrect information.
I prefer the ESPN/ABC broadcast team and the FOX broadcast team.

Wally is ok...wally's world was very irritating though. Benny and the pits....I'll miss BP but I like the fox team better anyway.
Except for Darrell Waltrip yammering about toyota.

I like his "Wally's World" segments, but he sucks as a broadcaster. The only time he contributes anything is when someone asks him an "as the driver" question; the rest of the time, he just agrees with what everyone says around him.

Benny Parsons passed away and so did Dallenbach and the rest of the announcers. Ned Jarret was as good. Darryl Waltrip should suck lemons and go home.

i like his hunting show, although i dont exactly when it comes on.
he is a better hunter than nascar driver.
he also races in other forms of motorsports as well, sometimes pretty successful.
overall i like him,i wish he would race more on the cup circuit.
the second link is his career stats in nascar.
and by the way i like his prerace show.
