ok so i was working out for about an hour a day and eating healthy, i went from 267 to 255 in a couple months. just losing that twelve pounds really made me feel good. but i recentley stopped everything, started binging and now i'm trying to get back on the saddle. i only went up one pound since then, so i guess i didn't do that bad but i would like to start over. can someone help suggest some workouts and some good foods to eat. i love working out on a treadmill and i have free weights and a gazelle and a stability ball and some of those rubber band thingies. oh and a zillion workout tapes. so again can anyone suggest some fruits and veggies, snacks, ummm...lunches you know. what types of motivation techniques? that sounds funny cause you would think the motivation is in the looking better feeling better but i guess i need some extra push. i do not have motivation at home, my husband says he loves me the way i am and my family really doesn't want me to lose weight because they don't

Aw! Jealousy is lousy...isn't it?!
First, congrats on losing 12 pounds. That's not an easy feat.
For motivation, reward yourself. Promise yourself that if you exercise for X hour(s) per day, X days per week, you can have a cupcake or a candy bar. Write things down so you can keep track! I use MS Publisher. They have a quick and easy calendar - all you have to do is select the month and the year. The calendar auto-populates for you. Print it off and stick it on the fridge. As you go along, write down what you do for that day. For me, the more writing I see on the sheet, the more I want to work out! :-)

For snacks - hummus with veggies, plain carrot sticks, fresh fruit is always a good bet. If you like yogurt, don't waste you calories on that pre-sweetened fruit added crap. That stuff is horrible for you. Buy plain (not vanilla) yogurt and add your own fruit. It will also go a long way in curbing your sweet tooth. Granola bars are also a nice touch.
I hope that helps! Good luck!

My momma-san goes to a group called 'T.O.P.S.', which means Take Off Pounds Sensibly. Every week they gather for a meeting and a weigh-in to see who has lost, maintained, or gained weight. They then talk about what they did the week previous to get their outcome. The person who lost the most weight that week gets a prize of groceries like fruits and vegetables or some other healthy choices.

I think its free or very cheap to join. Its a total health information and motivation meeting. Look into it for your area - im in BC, Canada. If they have one where you are, find a friend who might want to join you, or just march in on your own. Youll probably make some friends there who will balance out the negativity about weightloss from your family.

If one isnt available in your area, Ill bet it would be easy to organize one. Check it out - www.tops.org Good Luck

Just think about losing weight - that;s motivation enough for me. Plus, exercise is healthy for you. Do cardio exercises like running, stepups, jump rope, ect. ;) Those burn the most calories. Also I use sparkpeople.com. It's a very helpful site.

weight loss diet...... after you lost weight, you need to keep the weight for while ( 2-3 months ), this part is more important.
Do you enjoy diet?
Do not think about your weight too much! ( *v* )
