Your first black belt should take a while. If you get one in less than 5-8 years, then you better have been at the Dojo for 2-3 hours per day, 5-6 days per week. You need to learn so much. Striking, kicking, stances, motion, blocking, pressure points, etc.
Once you have learned enough for a decent black belt, getting a black belt in another similiar art should not take that long. That is why you often see those who have black belts in 5-6 different styles. You just have to learn a new set of techniques and katas. A different style will not have to re-teach you how to do a front ball kick, or a horse stance.
Now, if you change styles completely, like going from Tae Kwon Do or Kenpo to BJJ or Judo, you will be almost completely starting over. They have so little in common that you will not have much of an advantage.

If all you want is a black belt, go buy one. But if you want knowledge that'll take years, maybe even a life time. But to answer your question in more of what you want to know, how fast can you learn kata and how much cash ya got.

I got my BB in TKD in just under 3 years, but I also spent nearly 40 hrs a week there. But on average, it takes 3 to 5 where I come from. Just highly depends on the style you learn on how long it takes, and your commitment to it.

It normally takes about 3-5 years. It all depends on how hard you are willing to train. And if you do private lessons. My instructor says that you could get your black belt in about 2 years if you do private lessons.

Depends if you want it to mean anything. You can get it from a "quicky kicky" in less than two years, but in Korea, where I learned, it took about 16 years.
