If you don't believe the Bible it won't, but the Bible stands on it's own and has overcome more scrutiny than any ancient document... and has survived. I trust and have faith that it is the Word of God. I also understand that not everyone feels that way.

It doesn't prove anything (except perhaps people's gullibility). The Old Testament is a collection of old Middle Eastern myths adapted from pagan legends. The New Testament was written from 50 to 100 years after Jesus died from word of mouth accounts. Kind of like us writing about WW2 by what our neighbours can tell us.

You want proof that the Bible is true? Why, look in the Bible!
You want confirmation of it's authority? Crack the covers and you'll see it's proof.
The Bible is true because it says it is.
It proves things because it says it does.

The bible isn't about proof. It's God's life manual. Granted, it sometimes reads like a VCR manual, but it's meant to inspire, guide, warn and sometimes just tell history. If you want proof of something, find a court room.

It doesn't. It can't prove anything unless you believe in it.
