Theologians have had thousands of years to try to reconcile the problem of evil with the presence of a just and loving god. The best they can do is to say "god works in mysterious ways." That's almost as lame as Bush saying let's pray to god to give us his comfort.

While I believe that you are simply trolling and trying to stir up a flame war, I'm going to give my opinion.
First a weak analogy. When you were a little kid (like 2 or 3 years old), did you ever get a shot at the doctor? Did you cry because it hurt? Were you able to understand why it was necessary? You probably couldn't understand anything except that it was painful at the time. Your parents and the doctor knew why it was necessary though.
The intelligence difference between a 2 year old and an adult is pretty large, would you agree?
Now let's take that to an extreme. We, as humans, are a fairly bright species. But let's face it, out of 6 billion of us, maybe a couple hundred can even understand quantum mechanics. Compare that to a being that not only understands, but invented quantum mechanics.. and everything else.
Given a difference in intelligence levels of that magnitude, can you see a slight possibility that, while the things you mentioned are horrid for us to endure, there might be things involved that we just don't understand?

I yes, yes I do still believe in God.
What happened at Virginia Tech was nothing to do with God, but it was everything to do with an individual who wanted to be infamous, not for what he accomplished in life, but of the evil that he did.
What he really accomplished was nothing, except the extermination of 32 innocent lives, for this he can neither be proud nor infamous, for it is at a task and a competition that anyone can do, given the weapon and an audience.
It is the media, and society that reward psychotic individuals with an audience for the rampaging encourages this behaviour. The easy acquisition of guns, and ammunition also help to put people with mental conditions in a place where they can easily act outtheir fantasies, although I believe that if guns were harder to control, that fewer of this type of tragedy would occur.
This is not about God or the devil is about our society and a psychotic individual.

God doesn't like all these happening. I believe in God, but it is a very good question. Nobody is perfect except Him, unfortunately. I have lots of questions like yours when I get to heaven to ask Him. I alos want to know about world hunger nad others are millionaires. People do the wrong, not Him. He is helping those who need and want to be helped throught this tragedy.

Why does God keep getting blamed when people pick up a gun and murder other people?
Our bodies are prone to sickness and disease. People are prone to sin. Why? Because sin came into the world at the fall, when Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the garden of Eden a very long time ago.
Everything you see that is horrible is a result of man's own disobedience. It is not God's fault there is suffering. He will come one day and put all things right. But before He does, we are in a period of time when people have a choice to make about who Jesus Christ is. Do you repent of your sins and accept Jesus as your savior? If you do, His return will bring great joy. If you do not, His return will bring sorrow.
Please think carefully about blaming a perfect God for the poor choices humans have made for millennia.

According to the religious, God gave people free will. This killer at VT used free will and chose to slay his fellow man. Thus will pay the consequences in the afterlife. I'm not a religious person, but I don't used worldly tragedies as proof of no God. That doesn't add up, in fact religious beliefs are needed most in the times of death and suffering.

I was wondering how long it would take before someone would try to blame God for this.He didnt pull the trigger!!! As for the rest of your question, its because of sin.We left Gods perfect plan for us when Adam and Eve sinned. We became inperfect so we suffer the consequenses, old age, disease, birth defects,etc.. Do you think God loves someone less if they have cancer or some other ailment? It breaks His heart .

Yes, I still believe in the Almighty God, Jehovah. Perhaps you will read this article on "Why Does God Permit Suffering?" This might help you to realize that God truly cares for us and He is not causing our suffering. It is located at this website: http://www.watchtower.org/e/20010515/article_01.htm

There is God, and there is Evil. It isn't God that causes tragedy in the world, it is the Devil. God gives us a choice to do good or to do bad. Some people choose bad, obviously. That's not God's fault, it's the fault of the one who chooses the wrong path. God has influence over our decisions, but so does the Devil. Who are you listening to?

Wow that is quite the ignorance on your part. Maybe you should do some research before you make the ignorant question followed by more ignorant comments, read the Bible for instance. God tells us in the Bible that everything happens for a reason. I know it is devistating what happened along with other things like Hurricane Katrina, but God has his reasons for everything, that is what the Bible tells me, and God himself has told me.

Yes, there is a God. Bad things happen in this world and Good things happen in this world; God is not to blame when bad things happen.
Good and bad things happen to human beings it is a sad part of life but nontheless it is still part of life.
