It died a while back, I just really wanna know what from.
One night I let her out, because she was urinating in the house, and she was attacked by a dog.
I let her inside and she went straight to the bathtub and layed down. She was walking fine, but a few days later, her abdomen was inflamed. It was fleshy and bald.
I took her to the vet and she said it was an infection eating her organs. Please tell me if you know what it is!!

We can't give you any better idea than the vet I'm afraid - he's the one who saw her and he's the professional. As people have said though, it does sound like a bite wound to the abdomen that got infected. Such a thing could certainly result in death from blood poisoning.

Ignatia is the homeopathic remedy for grief. You can purchase a vial of pellets (30C) from a health foods store. Get an amber bottle with dropper at the same time. You put four or five pellets in the bottle and fill it with filtered water. When the pellets are dissolved tap the bottle about ten times and put a teaspoon of the liquid into 1/4 cup of filtered water. Give your cat a dropperful of that liquid then discard it. Give another dropperful the next day - taking a teaspoon from the amber bottle again and mixing it with another 1/4 cup of filtered water. You should have enough still in the amber bottle to use the third day. Misty needs to eat something in the next day. Try some baby food from the grocery store - chicken or turkey are best. The baby food must have NO ONION or garlic powder so read the labels carefully. See if Misty will eat something from your finger and feed her a fingerful every several hours till she will eat on her own.

The urinating in the house was probably a sign that something was wrong. Instead of loving it enough to take it to the vet you tossed it out the door like trash. Then the poor thing gets attacked by a dog and you STILL dont take it to the vet. Now you're here acting as if you loved the cat. Give me a break. It died from your lack of love, and medical attention. Please do not get another animal until you grow up and learn a lot more responsibility.
Poor kitty. Probably died a long painful death. Horrible way to go.

If the vet said it was an infection eating the organs, it was probably Peritonitis that was caused by trauma to the stomach or intestines of the cat.

I'm so sorry you lost your kitty. It is hard to say what caused it. My amatuer guess would be either internal bleeding, you mentioned a dog attack. Or maybe a puncture wound from a fang from the dog that was too small to see, if it became infected that could cause stomach distention and eventual death. Again, you have my condolences.

To the first answerer.........

My cat lived for 18 years and always went out during the day and sometimes at night (apart from the last 2 years of her life because she turned blind). She died of old age on her 18th birthday. She went outside because she wanted to... if we didn't let her out she would scream...she even cried to get out when she went blind which was heartbreaking because we couldn't let her obviously.

I am sorry I don't know what it was but I am so sorry for your loss. Perhaps ask the vet to explain it in more detail?

The dog that attacked her I assume left bite wounds, the bite wounds became infected and because it was not treated with antibiotics the infection spread to the whole cat and it became septic and that's what killed it.

Your vet already told you what it was. She probably had internal injuries and died from that. You should have taken her to the vet right after the attack.

Only the vet can tell you for sure. Could have been one of a hundred things. I'm so sorry for your loss. Hang in there!
