The catholic church will not allow me to baptize my baby cause I am not a member of the church, and cause I do not go to mass. I was taught that babies need to be baptize otherwise they will not go to heaven and they will stay in the Limbo....Since I am having issues about my religion, I would like to know, How does the Protestan religions (Non-denominational, Baptist, methodist etc) argue this point. I am concern, I want to do the right thing, I want to become a member of a church, But I want to have the right reasons...I am looking for a light that can guide me to the right place...

you are not suppose to baptize babies, we dedicate (no water involved and is a promise of the parents to raise the child in truth)

one is baptized after you repent.

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

You are suffering from "religious anxiety". You are taking this far too seriously. First of all, even the catholic church doesn't believe in limbo any more, which shows how relilable their point of view is. They used the threat of limbo on parents for hundreds of years then they just decided it didn;t exist any more.

If you belong to an organized religion, and you want to have your baby brought up within the organized religion then go ahead and have the baby baptized.

But please don't join a religion and have the baby baptized as a form of "heaven insurance". What if you joined the "wrong" religion and all the members of that religion go automatically to hell?

Here is a better plan. Forget heaven and hell. They don't exist. When you die you are dead and that is the end of it.
Forget organized religion unless you join for social support, mutual comfort and shared beliefs. Don't buy into the superstitious side. Religious communities can be supportive and caring. Don't join any goup that threatens little babies with hell or limbo -- that is just cruel.

Jesus said, "let the little children come to me"
Look in the bible, who was baptized and what did they do before baptism?
1-the heard the gospel
2-they believed the gospel
3- they repented
4-they were then baptized for the remission of their sins Acts 2:38
Can a baby do these things? God does not send babies to hell! That is a man made doctrine from the Roman Cath. church. There wasn't a single baby baptized in the bible, they must be of age, around 12 or so at least.

That is not true and is a gross lie. Children are born innocent and don't need to be baptized until the age of accountability.

It's obvious you care about you family very much! The most family oriented church I know of is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! It is speard out all over the world and it teaches the same exact doctrine no matter where you go. By their fruits shall ye know them.

Have a good day! :)

Not true at all - all Jesus/God requires for us to go to heaven is for us to be free from sin (covered by his blood in repentence and living a life that pleases him). A baby has not/ cannot sin ...A child isn't held responsible for sin until the "age of accountability", knows right from wrong and makes choices to decide that (some say around 10 or 12)..nonetheless Jesus loves everyone and would never send anyone to hell , we all have a CHOICE to serve him according to the Bible or to do our own thing.
Babies are secure in his love and will definately go to heaven.

If the toddler replaced into between the choose, their soul is going into Heaven. If the toddler replaced into no longer between the choose, its body and soul is going into the grave, not in any respect to have wakeful existence back. Fiery hell is a man made fantasy no longer got here upon contained in the Bible. The above is authentic for all and sundry, with or without disabilities. Water baptism can't keep all and sundry.

I am pentecostal, my father was a preacher. I was always taught baptism is performed when a person accepts Jesus as his/her savior. The Baptism is showing the public your declaration of salvation.

Your child is too young to make that choice.

If this bothers you too much, and would like to have peace of mind, You could go to another church for your child to be dedicated.

When my children were born, my father (preacher) dedicated them to God.

Children are not accountable until they reach the age of 8, they do not need to be baptized before that.

Only the catholics believe this.

I think the chances of your baby going to hell match the likelihood of it being stampeeded on by unicorns, but then again I'm an atheist.
