the eye of the needle isn't necessairlly referring to a sewing needle's eye. the eye of the needle is also the name of a particular gate in jerusalem. but look at the below link it would almost seem like perhaps it was supposed to read a rope through the eye of a needle (an actual needle). but what is this saying? is it saying that the rich cannot get into heaven. no, it's about where your treasure is......if someone is a slave to money and is preoccupied with storing up their treasures in earth they might just not see the pathway to salvation and take it and even if they do see the path it will be hard work to keep on it because of their temptation in worldly things.

Quote a passage then quote the rest. "What is impossible for man, is made possible through God". So, through God even a wealthy man can go to Heaven. That's your problem, you think you can pull of passage and catch God in an inconsistency, and that passage is very clear on the meaning when you quote all of it. What else you got?

Yes - because they have been given the fruits of their labour. If you have earned your wealth rightiously, then it is a sign that God has favour. It implies by association that you are going to be on the right hand side of the son of man
