Oh..he is SUCH a jerk! I can't believe ANYone would speak to their own child that way. I've always thought he was a sleeze-ball...and his recent actions have just confirmed that.

I think way to go Alex yeah he was a little rude but after you have been blown off so many time you cant take it any more. Trust me i know i have blown up a few times you cool off you apologize for over reacting and you get on with your life the press should have never released the information in the first place i think that a lot of parents are too soft on their kids and let them walk all over them with that i say way to go for standing up and being a dad!

Parents with teen or tween agers will all agree that they can be really, really difficult at times. We don't really know both sides of the story, so we don't know what the child did (if anything) to set him off. And frankly, I don't know any parents that at one time or another have lost it with their kids. The difference is we don't have to be parents in the media, we can lose it, apologize and repair the damage with our family.
That said, it's not okay to call your kids brainless or pigs. We are human, but we still are the adults. It's a shame that his ex-wife or whoever sent the voicemail to the media. It's really none of our business.

I was shocked when I heard the message. He has quite the temper and should never have berated his daughter like he did. I understand he adores his daughter and yet what I heard was emotional abuse!!
As a public we would never have know what transpired inside their lives had this tape not been released. I am glad he can not see his daughter now, he needs to take an anger management course that his money can not buy him out of!

Well, I do see both sides of the situation, no, he should NOT talk to his daughter like he did, BUT, he is very frustruated w/ his x wife and probably took it out on his daughter. I think at some point every parent looses their cool with their children and wish they could take it back.

I believe no one has the right to judge him...We do not know whats going on in the family or what strains he has with his daughter......Also we must not forget that he is human and there is no parenting book...everyone will make mistakes when reprimanding their children...I cant believe no one here has ever fought with their parents and things where said that should have....You live and you learn.....

My thought is that this shouldn't have been made public. Can you honestly say that you have never spoke to someone in that manner??? Obviously it isn't right, but I don't know any parent that can say that they have never freaked on their kid. Just because he is a celebrity doesn't mean that the public should know everything that happens in his life.

He's a jerk. If the daughter ends up mental, it's his fault. His rantings about his ex-wife always did seem like he was just lying to portray himself as the better parent, now we know for sure. If he had said that to the ex, it would be bad enough, but saying it directly to the kid was WAY over the line in my mind.

His problem was he married the vindictive mother on that child and who did that against court orders for the sole purpose of destroying him. After all he's doing better in movieland that she is.

The first thing that popped into my mind when I read it, was I would have to hear his voice saying it, he can be quite sarcastic in 30 Rock.
