It depends on where you are waxing. For example, hot or cold wax hurts about the same for the upper lip.
Sometimes, you must use hot wax to get the best grip like for leg hair or coarse hair. The important thing is not to get the wax so hot, you get burned.
Above all - technique matters.

I prefer hot wax....just love the results!
Cold wax, and even worse, depilatory gels are so much more difficult to work with, and really don't do the job that hot wax does. For me personally yes cold and gels hurt more than hot wax.

cold wax is not as efective as hot wax, because it doesnt get down into the root thus if you use cold wax youll have to wax more often...waxon waxoff

cold wax dont have any effect. so its waste if u apply. But instead of waxing, u can use creams.

You have to put it on hot, or it won't stick to your hair and rip it out. You let it cool and harden a little before ripping it off.
