Before you quote the typical verses on WHY you think it was changed, please read this.
10 points to someone who has proof they actually read it. I know your doctrine, I don't need to hear it again.
I'm trying to help you! Just as you would try to help an unbeliever! Y'know?? Like you KNOW its wrong but they just don't see it!
Anyhow, here is why the Sabbath NEVER changed.

"And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read." Luke 4:16.
Jesus' custom was to worship on the Sabbath.
But which day of the week is the Sabbath?
The seventh day of the week (Saturday) is the Sabbath.
"The seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God." Exodus 20:10. "And when the sabbath was past, ...very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre." Mark 16:1, 2.
The Sabbath is not the first day of the week (Sunday), as many believe, but the seventh day (Saturday). Notice from the above Scripture that the Sabbath is the day that comes just before the first day of the week.
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." Exodus 20:8-11. "And the Lord delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God." Deuteronomy 9:10.
In the fourth commandment of the 10, God commands us to observe the seventh-day Sabbath as His holy day. God knew people would forget His Sabbath, so He began this commandment with the word "remember." He has never commanded anyone anywhere to keep any other day as a weekly holy day.
But haven't the Ten Commandments been changed?
Jesus says: "And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail." Luke 16:17. God says: "My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips." Psalms 89:34. Notice, the Ten Commandments came from His lips. Exodus 20:1 says, "And God spake all these words, saying ... [the Ten Commandments follow in verses 2-17]."
No, indeed! It is utterly impossible for any of God's moral law ever to change. All Ten Commandments are binding today.
Shouldn't I keep Sunday in honor of Christ's resurrection?
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin." Romans 6:3-6.
No more than you would keep Friday in honor of the crucifixion. Christ gave the ordinance of baptism in honor of His death, burial, and resurrection. The Bible never suggests Sundaykeeping in honor of the resurrection (or for any other reason, for that matter). We honor Christ by obeying Him (John 14:15)--not by substituting man-made requirements in place of His.
But isn't Sunday the Lord's day?
Call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord." Isaiah 58:13. "For the son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day." Matthew 12:8.
The Bible speaks of the "Lord's day" in Revelation 1:10, so the Lord does have a special day. But no verse of Scripture refers to Sunday as the Lord's day. Rather, the Bible plainly identifies Sabbath as the Lord's day. The only day ever blessed by the Lord or claimed by Him as His holy day is the seventh-day Sabbath.

It is a fair argument, on whether the day of the Sabbath was ever scripturally changed from Saturday or Sunday. But it's essentially a done deal.
If it was one thing that Jesus rebuked over and over it was the sanctimony of the Pharisees who sought to control others with interpretation of biblical law. So questions such as this are just a continuation in that vein. Parsing everything to the 39th degree should not be more than an academic exercise in how to be closer to God, not a demand that everyone repent and march in lockstep to the same piper.
Ask what Jesus would do about worshiping on the 'wrong day of the week'. Either it would be enough to have and honor a holy Sabbath, no matter what the day, or there would be forgiveness for an unintended error born out of 2000 years of tradition. Because generations of devout worshipers are not here to repent.
If I forgot to send my father a Father's Day card, have I broken a commandment, even though I love, honor and respect him?

I think we are all missing the point here.
It is not that important if the Sabbath is he Saturday or the Sunday.
What is important is that the earth was created in 7 days, a few thousand years ago. We are all sons and daughters of Adam and Eve, and our family committed some serious sins in the past, but that's ok because the son of a virgin woman and an anthropomorphic god who used to walk on the water died for us... So, as you can see, to question on which day of the week we worship these people is not that important.

I dont need to read what you have there to know that the Sabbath is supposed to be from sundown on Friday to sundown on Saturday. God created the 7th day for rest. Because of the way we live our lives on a work schedule of Mon-Fri most people celebrate the 7th day as Sunday because Monday is considered the 1st of the week. No it does not follow the scriptures, but that is the world we live in today. Thank you for the offered info though.

stumbled on this website just now where someone talks about the movement to sunday worship but that sunday never was and is not today actually the sabbath some people just mistakenly call it the sabbath because they got their words mixed up, it's the Lord's day and it is used for worship in the church because sunday was when the Lord was resurrected. the site does a very nice job in answering your question. instead of paraphrasing I'll just leave the link below.

Under the old laws of the Jews in the Old Testament. New Testament Jesus said to take his flesh and blood on the first day of the week, which was the day Jesus arose and spoke to his disciples. You cannot follow two different sets of laws. The old Testament has 914 laws.Do you follow them all? i didn't smell Sacrifices being done on Saturday as the Jews did.Do you?Try reading the whole Bible instead of picking it apart to your liking. You may just learn something.Don't be so lazy and come to Yahoo for you religious answers.

what I want to know is when the calendar we use today with the Monday, Tuesday, etc was first put into use. I don't think it was first used in Jesus' time, or before. Accordingly, how are we to know that Saturday is the "true" Sabbath? Also, how are we to know that the Sabbath is any one particular day - what is wrong with taking one day out of the week to worship and rest which might not be Saturday or Sunday?

Fine. Forget it.
The change from observing the last day of the week to the first day of the week is not so important as is the concept and principle of the Sabbath. In either case, the Sabbath was symbolic of the mighty works of God, i.e., the creation of the earth, the deliverance of Israel from Egypt, and the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

You practice the Law but you break the Law with no humility and to prove everyone else wrong. I'm trying to help you to understand the Law was fulfilled with Jesus. Examine the scripture for they testify of Jesus.
May you have peace with your search

You are right and there are Christians who worship on Saturday. It's really hard to find a Saturday church, though, so most of us who agree with you, but want to worship and fellowship, go to church on Sunday.
