I guess because there are more holes than Mohamed's existence in Islam, like Mecca only being around for a few centuries before him (it was supposed to be there since Abraham more of less). Also Mohamed is 5 centuries closer to us than Jesus, and is based on the same creation myths as Judaism and Christianity.

Because Mohamed is not the one by which you receive salvation through. Satan is only interested in the ones (true believers of Jesus Christ) that have received their salvation who been born of the Holy Spirit of God, which leads to eternal life in the Kingdom of God. The general population of the world is influenced by the spirit of Satan who is the "god of this age". There is no need for Satan, whom with his fallen angels who work through the "unsaved" or "unbelievers", to attack the followers of a false god in a false "religion", such as Islam. That is one of the many reasons why the true and faithful servants of God who proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and the ONLY way to the Father in heaven, are persecuted by the rest of the world........"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.".... (Hebrews 12:13)

Becuase if they ask for this proof, they will have to back off from other islam bashing questions, like ayesha's marriage,Muhammad(pbuh) 's life, islamis teaching about Allah and so on.......so in order to proof muslim wrong they need to believe that muhammad was there....you see every religion is bashed on some points......Chritainity for the existance of Jesus, islam for Ayesh's Marriage etc....

Because we all know he did. He started a huge upheaval in Mecca that cannot be historically ignored. Not to mention a TON of people claimed to be his descendants and his followers created a great empire after him. He was also to the first man known to have united the Arab tribes. Muhammad (pbuh) played a HUGE role in Arabian history.

Because you would be opening a can of worms..how are we sure any God really existed that's why they are called Faiths and what about Goddesses would you ask if one of them existed. .if people want to believe and it makes life more worthwhile for them then that's what matters not that they ever existed

Because right now people are more interested in making negative assumptions to justify anti-Muslim feelings about the war, rather than look at historical facts.

In my case, it's because I don't care. I see what the religion which he supposedly founded has done to the world and am therefore not keen to find out more about him.

Because (fantastic as we all are) if thousands of years worth of historians haven't found proof, we do not expect anyone here to have it!

Probably because there isn't enough Muslims to create a firestorm. It's a question that should be asked, though.
