Find an all inclusive FAMILY resorts and research it. Find travel websites where people rate and review after staying there. I would stay away from Cozumel since it is a stop over for cruises.

Hi there, I would recommend Jamaica for your vacation. I'm sorry to see that there are other answers to you questions that say negative things about Jamaica. The resorts do sometimes tell visitors that the outside is unsafe so that the visitors will remain on the resort property and spend their money there. I am a Jamaican myself, and I am not blind to the problems that the country has, and it does have a crime problem, but I promise you it is nowhere near where the vacation spots are. The crime is really in Kingston. The rest of the island doesn't have a crime problem. For your vacation I would recommend a hotel called Boscobel Beach Resort that is located on the North Coast (far away from Kingston which is on the souther part of the island.....far away from the crime). Your sons will absolutely love it. It is a family resort and whilst you can go off and do what you like, the resort plans activities for the kids so that you don't have to worry about them and keep them busy. And they'll also be with other kids who are vacationing They have all sorts of things like a kids village, and so many things for your boys to do that they'll probably go back to the hotel room exhausted by the end of the day, but burning to start all over again the next day. I promise you that you will love it. If you're someone who will not be put off by people outside the hotel who are verbally aggressive (the dialect can sound that way to non-jamaicans) when they speak to you, then you shouldn't have a problem. They will not be physically aggressive. We are a friendly people. I've just heard Americans sometimes complain that they were being pressured to buy some souvenir by a vendor in Jamaica, and this does happen, but you just have to smile and tell them you've bought all your souvenirs already (whether you have or not). So I hope you make Jamaica your choice, and I can guarantee you won't regret it.

Hi,
Although I was born (and spent all my life) in the caribbean, I can't say much about Guyana or much of the other caribbean countries in detail.

I CAN however speak about Jamaica where I am!

As I mentioned on another post this depends on your preferences athough it is clear that you want a family vacation.

Can I assume you want a mixture of excitement and fun, but also some peace and tranquility?

In any case, Jamaica may be the perfect option for you! We have nice blend of everything.

Montego Bay and Negril can assure you all the hype and fun you need; from watersports, horseback riding and parties to historical and sightseeing tours.

The southcoast and the north coast can give you the famous falls, inland tours, nature tours as well as a sense the peace and quiet you need.

I have a website I dedicate to my country,
www.my-island-jamaica.com

It can provide even more information for your trip.
Regardless of where you go though, please enjoy your time!

When I was nine, I never went anywhere like that. My Grandmother and my mother would pack us up in a car and go for a drive in the Poconos and do some small stuff, or go to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon.

My point is to say, it doesn't matter where you go, if you can have fun together at home, you will have fun together where ever you go. If you can afford those places, and YOU want to go there, your sons will have fun and they will always look fondly back at the experience. If you the trip is going to break your bank, go to the local national or state park, do some camping, and cooking out. It'll be great.

honestly, I'd reccomend Carribean. Jamaica isn't really very safe unless you are in a resort.

I'm 14 and have been all over the world.
I have to say I have had the most fun in European countries like Italy.
They are enriched with culture and food and are a totally different experiance. The three places you mentioned all have a lot of poverty

Dont take them to Jamaica...its very dirty and it was not safe when i went with my family. The people wernt very friendly and the hotel couldnt gurantee ur safety during ur stay. I would recommend the Dominican Republic..its warm, clear water, lots of marine life, and theres a lot of food that ur kids will enjoy. We stayed at the Allegro and they had homemade pizzas, pastas, etc. Also, they would have little shows at night for the kids one night they even showed the play version of the lion king which was pretty neat.

I actually were all via the Caribbean, and my fashionable position is the Bahamas. The Atlantis on Paradise Island is in basic terms remarkable ( over the bridge from Nassau) also, you may favor to seem right into a cruise which will take you to three or 4 islands. A cruise is extremely relaxing.

Have you considered Florida? You could stay in Cocoa Beach on the beach, and take in Orlando theme parks too. It would give you a variety of things for them to do, and relieve you of entertaining them. Swimming is fun and they will still do alot of that at those ages, but the theme parks are great fun for that age. No Passports needed!

Why not Costa Rica? They are a fairly safe country. Have tours to the rain forests, volcano, zip lines through the rain forest canopy.
