It's normal for a cats nose to be a little moist.
I've noticed with our four cats that when they first wake up from a nap their noses are dry, but then within a few minutes they're wet again.

A cat’s nose is normally a bit cool, and a little moist. If your cat is acting perfectly fine, a dry nose is nothing to worry about. It could be something as simple as dry climate conditions. If your cat is sick, however, and it’s nose is dry, it could be that the illness that your cat is suffering from has led to dehydration, and a dehydrated cat would certainly be expected to have a dry nose and dry, tacky gums. It’s also possible for a cat that is very sick to have a warm, wet nose; fever could make the nose feel warm, and a respiratory infection, with a runny nose, would certainly keep the nose wet. As you can see, nose temperature and moisture level is not a very precise indicator of a cat’s health.

In short terms, yes. It is not exactly a determinant to see if a cat is healthy--but it's normal for a cat's nose to be moist. I have a six year old cat and ever since day one her nose has been a little wet and she is healthy and strong as ever. If you are concerned about it--like a dripping nose, or overly moist, you should contact your doctor. But otherwise, you should be fine! Your cat is probably very healthy, and a little wet nose is normal!

This is an old wives tale, and NOT a reliable method for telling if a cat is healthy or not. Or a dog. Many ill and even dying animals have wet noses - especially if they're dying from a respiratory infection!
You can tell the general health of an animal by how active it is, how much it is/isn't eating and drinking, the type and frequency of its stool and urination, what its breathing is like, that sort of thing.

If a cat has a wet nose, she is healthy but if she sneezes a lot and has a runny nose, she might be sick. If the cats nose is dry, wet it and see if it dries quickly and if it does then she is probably sick.
