Fair warning if I ever develop an incurable disease I'm going to pay westboro a visit and ask where their god is now. I won't be #33 either.

I know, but I'm just not that kind of liberal.

Are you serious??? Is a church actually picketing Ryan Clark's funeral?? I hadn't heard about that. I will check it out. I am a Christian and I myself will commit to looking up that church's phone number and calling them myself to express my outrage at such un-Christlike behavior if indeed this is true. Perhaps if enough people do that, it will help. If someone is not a Christian, then a good thing to tell such a church if a call is made, is that it reflects poorly upon churches and Christians when a church behaves in such a way. That might make a difference. Overloaded phone lines and overworked receptionists/church secretaries will have an impact. I know - I used to be one! Thanks for the question!!

I work at a cemetery, so I'll be able to help with this.

You cannot prevent any group of people from peacefully gatering in a public place. But cemeterys are "private" places, not public - unless it is a national cemetery, such as Arlington (or other Veteran cemeteries).

So these people are allowed to picket outside or anywhere that is public, but the cemetery as the right to have them escorted out of the cemetery. However, this is not the case if people are peacefully visiting family members. But in the case of disturbing a business practice, such as a funeral, the cemetery owners can have police escorts at the cemetery and can also have people who cause problems arrested.

Hope this helps :-)

Give the westboro an I.E.D, and see if they really thank God for I.E.D's, westboro baptist church are sick, brainwashed people, and they need help, how about the other christians, get together and prevent them picketing, or would that be a sin for a chirstian to go against a christian?

The Patriot Guard, if they're called in can help. Also, there is a group that dresses up as angels that can be called in. They form a line between the Westboro Cult and the mourners.

The real answer to these kooks is violence. They don't respond to reason, maybe a good beating is what they need to understand that their right to free speech can be ballanced with a mourners right to mourn.

You don't see humanists behaving in this manner, it is always the religious, when will theists finally start to admit that their scriptures are too easily misread and misinterpreted for abhorrent behavior?

I'm not sure you can.

But you can call in that motorcycle gang that has shown up at servicemen's funerals to keep the аssholes at a comfortable distance. It shouldn't take much; the Phelps are such cowards that they'll only face down dead people.

through fact sadly the liberty of speech factor applies to them as sturdy even although in my opinion i choose for they might make it as authorized for the families to go and beat the crap out of the Westboro persons. Luckly there are agencies who oppose the Westboro church and wood between the funerals and the psychos and act as a cushion of varieties. won't be in a position to remember the names of the agencies even although I recognize a number of them are bikers. i'm grateful for human beings like them :)

Where ever that bunch of nut cases shows up... every True Christian, who can make it there, should show up and form a human shield to compleatly block that evil from geting within a mile.... That bunch is not a Christian group... there is no way that the teaching of Jesus The Christ can be used to justify any of the behaviors of that bunch of crazies....

put up a picket line around the church, about half a mile away. and keep them away physically. Hey. don't forget to get your permit to congregate, though.
