My fiance is Daniel ____ III. On the invitation, is it proper ettiquitte to spell out the third or just use Roman numberals? Same question for junior/senior?

Just be aware that a II is not the same as a Jr. A "junior" is the son of the the "senior"--a second is just the name is being recycled. It could be the grandfather or great grandfathers name and you'd be a II.

So make sure if the father is a Jr or a II before you print invites.

And no its not proper to spell out "the third". It is only proper to put Daniel Radcliff III.

But yes when you order your invites it will have a "Suffix" category for you to select Sr, Jr, or roman, so unless you are making your own invites this shouldn't even come up.

Roman numerals are fine, and use Jr. and Sr. where appropriate. Make sure you know the differences between these two very different forms of address, though.

The words are spelled "etiquette" and "numerals", and, yes, you should use either III or 3rd. Roman numerals seem to be the more popular form these days but 3rd is more traditional (maybe even old-fashioned).

I think it would be fine to just use roman numerals. Also with the Jr. and Sr.
